EvaLyn F. Bachisin Cribbs, 90 of Dravosburg, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Friday April 19th, 2024 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She was born in UPMC McKeesport Hospital on March 3rd, 1934 to the late Stephen and Anna Habin Bachisin. EvaLyn was the loving wife of 58 years to George A. Cribbs Sr. She is survived by her children George A. Cribbs Jr. of Dravosburg, Jay S. (Vicki White) Cribbs of Colorado Springs, Nancy A. (Patrick) Hamilton of McKeesport, grandchildren Jill Cribbs, Alexander Hamilton, great grandchildren Olivia Steele, Amber Carr, and great great grandchild Rose. EvaLyn was preceded in death by her siblings Irene, Julia, Dorey, Olga, Elsie, Emil and her grandchild Mindy Lee. She worked as a nurse for UPMC McKeesport Hospital for 22 years, later she was a nurse for National Tube US Steel in McKeesport, and retired from her nursing position at Bettis Atomic Plant. She was a certified CPR instructor. EvaLyn was a member of the Richland Cemetery board of directors. She was involved in the 1st cohort of the Harvard Nurses Study, as well as a McKeesport Hospital Alumni Association member. EvaLyn was a former member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, an usher at St. Peter, and current member of St. Thomas the Apostle. She enjoyed walking, swimming, working on puzzles and spending time with family. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday April 23rd, 2024 from 2 P.M. – 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. at I.M FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th St, Dravosburg, PA 15034. A service will take place on Wednesday April 24th, 2024 10 A.M. at the funeral home. To be followed by interment at Richland Cemetery.
