Eddie J. Knight, age 60, of Washington, died May 5, 2025, at Premier Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born May 13, 1964, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Lauro and Azzie (Jackson) Knight.
As a cook, Eddie dedicated many years of his life to the culinary arts, showcasing his skills at local establishments such as the Gateway Center Club, Smithfield Cafe, Tambellini's, and, most recently, the Union Grill. His passion for cooking was evident in the warmth and love he infused into every dish, leaving a lasting impression on the patrons and colleagues who enjoyed working alongside him.
Eddie was not just known for his culinary prowess; he was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His enthusiasm for the game was contagious, and he often celebrated with friends and family. In addition, Edward found joy in visiting the casino, where he cherished the excitement of trying his luck. No one will ever forget Eddie's phrase, "Fa sure!"
Eddie is survived by siblings, Dorothy Knight, Donna Knight, Catherine Knight Parr, Vivien Randolph, Earl Knight, and Ulysses Knight; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by daughters, Kinisha Knight and Dominique Knight; siblings, William Knight, Lougene Knight, Willie Knight, Larry Knight, Cornelius Knight, and Vivian Ball.
