Glen Dale Forsythe, Sr., age 80, of McKeesport, died at home on May 18, 2025. Born May 9, 1945, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Grover and Ruth (Mains) Forsythe and husband of the late Diana (Suncine) Forsythe.
Glen dedicated a significant part of his life to serving the community through his work with the Parks Department for the City of McKeesport. His passion for the great outdoors was evident in his love for hunting and fishing, particularly in the beautiful landscapes of Potter and Indiana Counties. He cherished the memories made in those serene surroundings, often accompanied by family and friends. A longtime member of the NRA, Glen valued the traditions of outdoor sports and appreciated the camaraderie that came with them. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Glen was truly the life of the party. His ability to make jokes and share laughter left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by children, Glen Jr. (Belinda) Forsythe, Tonya (Duane) Coffey, Brian (Olga) Forsythe, and Beth Ann Nuttall; grandchildren, Stephanie (Billy) Christenbury, Tricia (Carl) Christenbury, Kali (David) Franklin, Valerie Negron, Shanna (Jeff) Brady, Adrienne (Tony) Verduo-Toledo, Joshua Forsythe, Jacob Forsythe, Michael (Kayla) Nuttall, and Shane Nuttall. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by son-in-law, Michael "Meat Head" Nuttall; brothers, Melvin and David Forsythe.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. The burial will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery at 1 p.m. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
