In Loving Memory of Ute Lundy (Eberhardt)1962 – 2025
Ute Lundy, beloved wife, cherished friend, and gentle soul, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 63. She was surrounded by care and compassion at Willows Nursing Home in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Born in Mannheim, Germany, Ute carried with her a quiet strength and warmth that touched everyone she met. Her life was marked by kindness, resilience, and a deep love for those closest to her. Her parents, Georg Eberhardt and mother Else Eberhardt (Utz) preceded her in death.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Dale Lundy, whose love and partnership were the foundation of a beautiful life shared together for 44 years. Together they raised 3 beautiful daughters, Syreeta Roxanne Benjamin (Milton) of Dallas, TX, Dominique Melvina Lundy Dallas, TX, Kristina Desire’ Paradise Benjamin (Ricky) of McKeesport, Pa, and a son James Christopher Lundy (Charde’) of Pittsburgh, Pa. Their grandchildren, Naomi Lundy, Monai Lundy, Omani Benjamin and Harmonie Lundy. Great grandchildren, Malia, J’nyah, and Jordan. Ute is also survived by 2 brothers Peter and Reinhold Eberhardt of Germany. Her other brothers Helmut and Klaus, and her sister Uschi all preceded her in death. That love is also share by many other family members which included nieces and nephews as well as in-laws. Ute’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her grace, her laughter, and her unwavering spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Ute was a devoted mother that truly loved her children who will miss her very much. Ute was a Jehovah’s witness who loved Jehovah. After the children grew up, she dedicated her time with her husband as a full-time pioneer. They attended pioneer school together. Ute also had the privilege of being part of a couple of circuit assembly assignments along with a few of her children. Ute worked as a home-care provider for 20 years before she retired (Covid), in which she missed very much. The staff, the workers and the clients loved her very much. She was very devoted to her job. Ute loved music and she was very artistic. She was very talented in-home design, a skill she wished she could have pursued. Ute loved to laugh. She chose friends that was wildly funny. That was the part of her husband’s personality that she loved the most. We will miss her! Ute died of dementia. Our hearts are saddened now, but Ute’s in a wonderful place right now, Jehovah’s memory. Soon, Ute will join her family on a renewed paradise earth. She will not be sick anymore, no more pain, because the former thing will have passed away. “Auf Wiedersehen” my love! Meaning in German, “till I see you again!.” Friends are invited to a Memorial Service in Ute’s honor on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2:00pm (doors will open at 1:00pm) at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
