Cory J. Rotharmel, who left us on October 16, 2025, just two days shy of his 41st birthday. Born on October 18, 1984, in McKeesport, he was the beloved son of Brian and the late Marilyn (Mossburg) Rotharmel. Cory was known for his vibrant spirit, a passion that shone through in all aspects of his life. He cherished his hobbies, often indulging in his love for video games, with Excitebike on Nintendo being one of his favorites. Cory fondly remembered the trips he took to Kennywood, where laughter and memories were made. Music was always close to Cory's heart; he found solace in the sounds of Muck Sticky, Ozzy Osbourne, and Dire Straits, allowing their melodies to accompany him through life's moments. He also embraced the simple joys, such as raising chickens and the unwavering companionship of his beloved dog, Princess Puppernutters, whose playful spirit mirrored Cory's own.

In addition to his father, Cory is survived by his children, Jaden Rotharmel, Lillyanna Rotharmel, Henry Rotharmel, Aiden McPherson, and Caleb McPherson; siblings, Brian (Kim) Rotharmel, Jr., Chris Rotharmel, Nick Rotharmel, Jesse (Haily Smith) Rotharmel, and Kali Rotharmel. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
