Anthony "Tony" Neil Playso, 35, of Sutersville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. He was born July 23, 1990 in Pittsburgh and was the son of Victor S. (Mary) Playso, Sr. and Lora (Don Tougher) Laychak. He was the loving husband of Tammy Jean Playso. Tony graduated from McKeesport High School in 2008. He was the Director of Maintenance at We Care Personal Care in Moroeville. He was a hard worker and a true comedian and homebody that loved his family. He was the best family man, a loving husband, father, brother and son. He loved his dogs, Jax, Mocha, Tipsy, Leo, Sadie and Brownie; and his cats, Hope and Ellie Mae. He was also a passionate gamer, playing games on his Xbox, as well as table games like Dungeon's and Dragons and other board games. He was also a great bowler, scoring 300, a perfect game a few times.
In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by his stepsons, David Charles Callahan, Jr. and Jason Ty Callahan both of Sutersville; granddaughter Alora Raine Callahan; brother, Victor S. (Roxanne) Playso, Jr. of Irwin; niece, Aria Playso; nephews, Zane and Xander (Zip and Zap) Playso; grandfather, Robert G. Adamson of Bradenton, FL; grandmother, Elizabeth Summers of Irwin; father-in-law Edward "Ted" Nicholson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sheryl K. Adamson. Friends are welcome Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
