William S. Tyler, Jr., age 76, of McKeesport, died at home on December 18, 2025. Born October 7, 1949, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Nellie (Mellinger) Tyler and husband of Allie (Schmeltz) Tyler for 58 years. William was a longtime NRA member, found joy in watching television, and was an avid enthusiast of CB radios, connecting with others and forging friendships near and far.
He is survived by sons, Jody (Sheri) Tyler and William (Deidre) Tyler, III; grandchildren, Ashley (Chad) Vines, Sam (Steve) Lau, Liz Tyler, and Rachel Tyler; great-grandsons, Josh Vines, Jake Vines, and Lucas Tyler; and sister, Diane Collier. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Tyler. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock at 10 a.m. Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
