Donald E. Speidel, age 93 of West Hempfield, passed away on February 4, 2026. He was born on March 25, 1932 in McKeesport, a son of the late Ernest Speidel and Ruth Baker Speidel. Don was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, and a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He fulfilled a career as a senior systems analyst for West Penn Power. Following his retirement, Don and his first wife, Margaret, moved to Myrtle Beach, where they resided for many years. In his free time, Don liked to golf, and he enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Poyser Speidel, one daughter, Kimberly Rossi, and one sister, Lois Anderson. He is survived by his second wife, Peg, one son, David Speidel (wife Melissa), and grandchildren James Rossi (wife Courtney), Elizabeth Davis (husband Marc), Ava Rossi, Audrey Rossi, Nola Davis, and Roan Davis. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Don's name to the Westmoreland County Food Bank. James W.
