Sheila J. Demshar, age 77, of McKeesport, died March 6, 2026, at St. Clair Hospital. Born October 26, 1949, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Josephine (Cindrich) Lawson.

Sheila lived a life filled with compassion, service, and unwavering love for her family and community. Sheila retired from working as a registered nurse. During her time working at McKeesport Hospital her gentle heart and expert care made a profound difference in the lives of countless patients. Beyond her nursing career, she proudly volunteered as a paramedic with White Oak EMS, serving the community she adored with an unrelenting spirit of kindness and selflessness. Family was everything to Sheila. She dedicated herself to caring for her loved ones, always putting their needs above her own. Her nurturing nature extended beyond humans; Sheila was a devoted animal lover, finding joy and companionship in her dogs and cats.

Sheila is survived by her grandson, Devon Porter of Munhall; great-grandaughter Amaia Porter; brother, Sonny Lawson of North Versailles; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by a daughter, Vida Porter.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from noon until the time of service at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
