Joanne Louise Roney, age 84, of McKeesport, died at home on March 8, 2026. Born March 8, 1942, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Magee) Moon.

Joanne was known for her kind heart and a spirit of joy that touched everyone she met. She had a passion for playing bingo at the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Company, where many cherished memories were made among friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Twila (Charles Jr.) Smith; grandchildren, Charles Smith III, Lindsay Smith, Kyle Williams, Danielle Roney, Crystal Roney and Kristina Biggs; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Robert, Michael, John, Mariah, Jazmine, Steven and Harmony; siblings, Dennis Moon, John Moon, Jesse Moon, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Roney; siblings, Elmer Moon, Penny Kiefer, Alvin Moon, Ronald Moon, and Clyde Moon.
