Shawn W. Malt, 57, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, April 13, 2026, at home. He was born September 3, 1968, the son of Debbie (Ciampa) Ecker (husband Scott) and the late William F. Malt Jr. He is also survived by his grandmother Anna Mae Malt (the late William); uncles Robert “Zeke” (Amy) Malt and Bruce (Brenda) Malt; and his aunt Jan (Ron) Bettencourt. Shawn was a man who found happiness in the outdoors. He had a deep love for fishing, always appreciating the quiet, simple moments. He also had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson, enjoying the freedom of the open road. It wasn’t just something he did, it was part of who he was. Shawn was a self-employed bricklayer for over 20 years, working mostly for RWS Shuster Homes. Shawn will be deeply missed by his family and many close friends. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin. Private interment will be in Long Run Cemetery.
