Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | October 18, 2017

Michael Joseph Minyon III, 34, of Orlando, FL., formerly of Pittsburgh, died Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born October 29, 1982 in Pittsburgh. Michael has worked at Disney World, currently at the Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot Center for the past eleven years. His legacy of love, caring and helping others will not be forgotten by the close "family like" network of friends and coworkers with whom he shared his life in Orlando, Florida. A dedicated animal lover, his loyal dog Blue was his constant companion. As a traveler, he touched many lives across the globe. Mike was compassionate and understanding to all he encountered. We here in Pittsburgh always looked forward to his visits, and visiting with him.

We enjoyed the loving devotion, and steadfast allegiance he always expressed to us, his Pittsburgh family. The loss of Mike will surely ache within us all. However, his love of life can continue to shine brightly through each of us by way of the increased compassion and love we can display and share with others, as we continue our journey without him. He is survived by his mother, Susan Doven (Michael) Laurito of Verona, father, Michael Joseph (Gloria) Minyon, Jr., of Greenock, brothers, Michael A. (Cara) Laurito of Cleveland, OH,  Mark (Michelle) Harkins of  Wexford, Joshua Minyon of Pittsburgh, and Mario Minyon of the United Arab Emirates, sisters, Melissa Minyon of Verona, Jessica (Brandon) Engster of North Versailles, and Jolene Minyon of Boston, niece, Maleena Engster, nephews, Brody Howell and Blue Minyon, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Friends are welcome Thursday October 19 from 6-8:00 pm., and Friday October 20 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (412) 672-6322 Troy J.
