John E. "Jack" Petroski, age 72, of North Huntingdon, PA, died August 31, 2018, at home. Born May 2, 1946, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Walter and Rose (Godek) Petroski and the husband of  Elaine M. (Lesczynski) Petroski, his loving wife of 50 years.

Jack was retired from Bechtel Bettis, where he worked as a Nuclear Processing technician. He was a US Marine veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Jack was a member of the 11th Ward Club of McKeesport, PNA 352 of McKeesport and the Croation Club CFU Lodge 146 of Versailles Borough. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to Polka's. "Jack of all trades," as many knew him, was always there to lend a hand if needed. John was a animal lover as well, his loyal dog "Rudy," was his best friend. In addition to his wife Elaine, Jack is survived by his children, Debra (Robert) Tucker of Clinton Twp., MI, formerly of North Huntingdon and Laurel Marie (Russell) Shirley of North Huntingdon; grandson, Aaron Joseph Tucker; siblings, Juanita "Ceti" Thomas of Green Acres, FL, Jane (Gregg) Riley of Lakeworth, FL and Walter (Patti) Petroski of Jupiter, FL; also nieces and nephews. Jack was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Petrosky. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on a date to be announced later.
