Bernard T. Gindlesperger, age 90, of West Newton, and formerly of Elizabeth and Clairton, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at home. A retired small press operator with Fisher Body in West Mifflin, he loved visiting with family and friends, enjoyed cats and taking long rides in the car.

Born February 27, 1929 in Ligonier, he was a son of the late William Dorsey Gindlesperger and Mary Ellen (Ely) Gindlesperger, and husband of the late Wanda Mae (Cunningham) Gindlesperger. He is survived by a daughter, Marsha (Jeff) Hickman of Rostraver; sons, Robert L. (Joy) Gindlesperger of Clairton and Wayne Gindlesperger at home; grandchildren, T.J., Scott (Rachel) and Joshua Gindlesperger, Jeffery (Jennifer) Hickman and Jennifer (Jay) Lewis; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura and Olive Gindlesperger and two brothers, William and Louis Gindlesperger. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Michael Airgood officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
