Albert Cipicchio, age 85, of McKeesport, died January 3, 2016, at John J. Kane Regional Center. Born January 19, 1930, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Antonio and Filomena (Colesanto) Cipicchio and the husband of Mary (Scappatura) Cipicchio, for over 61 years.
Albert was a retired McKeesport Fire Fighter and a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the St. Patrick Parish and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 10. He was also an avid outdoorsman, golfer, bowler and as of late loved to play the slots.
In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by children, Albert (Mary Ann) of Winchester, VA, Michael (Beth) of Hampstead, NC and Janet (James) Schoedel of Plum; grandchildren, Renee (Tyler) McCabe, Aimee, Sheree, Maria (Michelle), Patricia, Nicci and Jessi; great grandson, Miles; sister, Jean Schmotzer of McKeesport.
He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alicia; siblings, Dominic, Alfred and Ernest.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, St. Patrick Parish, 312 32nd St., McKeesport, PA 15132, at 1:30 p.m., with Fr. Paul Voida as celebrant. Entombment will follow at New St. Joseph Mausoleum.
