Edward A. Osolinski, age 96, of McKeesport died March 15, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport, with his son Edward by his side. Born May 6, 1923, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Frank and Catherine (Kuk) Osolinski-Englert and the husband of the late Catherine (Belan) Osolinski.

Edward retired US Steel Duquesne Works, where he was a marked steel technician. He was a United States Army veteran serving during WWII in the Pacific Theatre, where he was presented with the Bronze Star Medal. Edward was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. He enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking, gardening, fishing, and caring for his home. Edward was a passionate Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and also a Penn State Football fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Edward is survived by his children, Christine Valentyn of Glendale, AZ, William of Loudonville, NY, and Edward Jr. of McKeesport; grandchildren, John, and Richard Valentyn all of AZ; siblings, Ruth (Dennis) Malos of Port Vue, and Chester (Mary Ann) Englert; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, and parents, Edward was also preceded in death by his grandson, Robert Valentyn; son-in-law, John W. Valentyn; brother, August Osolinski.
Arrangements are entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery of Port Vue. A memorial service will be announced at a later date, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
