Gary Allen Perkins, loving son and father, passed away March 22, 2020, at the age of 57.

Gary was born on June 23, 1962, in McKeesport, PA to Mildred Nails and the late Milton Perkins. He graduated from Clairton High School in 1980. After graduation, he attended Austin Peay State University on a football scholarship. Shortly after going to college, Gary joined the Marine Corps Reserve. He worked as a repair technician for John Hopkins University.

Gary had a passion for learning and teaching African spirituality. He also loved to play the drums for his Pan African Religious organization; Auser Auset. When Gary moved to Washington, D.C. he researched and practiced living a healthy plant-based lifestyle. He specifically studied the African Bio-mineral Balance. Gary was also an avid music and sports lover. Whenever he walked into a room or greeted a family member or friend, he would always say the phrase, “What’s Happening!” He always brought joy and happiness to everyone in his path.

Gone too soon, but never forgotten, Gary’s memories will live through his son, Kinde Davis; mother, Mrs. Mildred Nails; sisters, Bridgette Perkins, Tammy Jones; brothers, Lee Perkins and the late Montese Perkins; dear friend, Tracy Allen; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

**PRIVATE VISITATION AND MEMORIAL WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH FAMILY AT MORNING STAR BAPTIST CHURCH, 307 SHAW AVENUE, CLAIRTON, PA WITH A PRIVATE BURIAL TO FOLLOW AT ROUND HILL CEMETERY**
