Edward L. Phillips, age 94, of North Versailles, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children on March 29, 2020. Born October 17, 1925, in Brownsville, PA, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Zoltan) Phillips and the beloved husband of Emilia (Sauchin) Phillips.

Ed was an Army Air Forces Veteran. He was a supervisor at the Department of Public Welfare and retired after more than 25 years. Edward earned his bachelor's degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh and his master's degree in social work from West Virginia University. He also volunteered at Mckeesport Hospital for over 24 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Edward Jr. (Diane) Phillips, of Mckeesport, Valerie (Robert) Mastay, of Saltsburg, Diane (James) Jones, of Manor, and Karen Phillips, of Bridgewater, NJ; grandchildren, Jason, Derek, Jared (Kelly), Devan (Corey) Jones; great-grandchild, Peyton Jones; step-grandchildren, Janelle (Eric) Legg and Mark Flaherty; step-great-grandchildren, Gwendalyn, and Eryk Legg; sister Patricia Wankulitz and sister-in-laws Rose(Thomas)Guerrieri and Kathryn (Michael) Warhol. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Dorothy, Robert, Henry, Mildred, and Richie. A private family funeral was held at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Monongahela Cemetery in North Braddock.
