Angelo P. Sgroi, age 87 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the VA Hospital, Oakland. Born January 27, 1934 in Clairton, he was the son of the late John & Vittoria (Polimeni) Sgroi. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church, Angelo wore many hats in his lifetime but enjoyed driving truck over the road most of all. He retired from GNC in his 70's, but continued driving occasionally for Uber & Lyft until recently. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but more importantly a very generous and loving man whom everyone knew as "Uncle". Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Katie, Mary, James, Sam, John, Nick, Tony, Lou and Phillip, as well as several nieces and nephews. His is survived by his Godchildren Angelia (Dusk Olson) Christina and Greg (Lisa) Nesterak, nieces, nephews; dear friends who loved him; and his faithful canine companion Edgar.

Christine M. "Tina" Margie, age 66 of Versailles, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 in UPMC McKeesport. Born September 16, 1955 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Marie (McCahill) Foster. A former health care aide at Community Life in McKeesport, she is survived by her children William Margie, Jr. of White Oak, Jill Margie of Versailles, and Megan (Nick) Donaldson of Arizona; her grandsons Logan Margie and Dylan Donaldson; her companion Greg Gooch; her sister Diane (Bevan) Boden of Elizabeth Twp., her two best friends Donna Nolder and Cheryle Shivey; and also nieces and nephews.

Alice B. Ockay, age 92 of Versailles, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in John J. Kane Regional Center - GlenHazel. Born December 7, 1928 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Julia (Demko) Ockay. The former bar manager of the Holiday Inn in West Mifflin, Alice was also a former secretary for US Steel's Christy Park Works. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick's Church and the CFU Lodge #146 of Versailles and its Ladies' Club. Besides her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her siblings: Rose, Cyril, Method, and Andrew Ockay.

Roderick Phillip Sullivan Sr., age 95, of Elizabeth, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Concordia of Cabot. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 36 years as a clerk and supervisor in Elizabeth, Charleroi and Library and retired as postmaster in West Newton. He was a charter member and treasurer of the former Mon-Postal Federal Credit Union in Elizabeth and was on the board of Tri Boro Federal Credit Union in Munhall. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree of Elizabeth, and was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church, in Elizabeth Twp. where he served as a eucharistic minister. Rod is a Navy veteran, serving during World War II, and was a member of American Legion Alonzo Weigel Post 553 of Elizabeth. Born August 17, 1926 in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late James and Anna (McNeil) Sullivan and husband of 61 years to the late Phoebe (Withers) Sullivan. He is survived by daughters, Nancy Lee (Michael) Corey of Strongsville, OH and Susan (Paul) Austin of Lake George, NY; sons, Roderick P. (Kathryn) Sullivan Jr. of Chester Springs, Daniel W. (LuAnn) Sullivan of Ashland, OH, Dr. Patrick J. (Mary Anne) Sullivan of Cheswick and Terrence C. (Mary) Sullivan of Strongsville, OH; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick's Church in Christy Park and a retired supervisor at the Westinghouse Bettis Plant in West Mifflin, Paul is survived by his wife of 64 years Nancy A. (Riggs) Pollock; his sons Paul E. (Cathy) Pollock, Jr. of Versailles and Scott (Terri) Pollock of White Oak; his grandchildren Gabrielle (Michael) Abatti and Carly, Hunter, and Samantha Pollock; and his great-grandchildren Winnie, Clyde, and Kaiyi.

Rita B. York, age 91 of Jefferson Hills, passed away at home on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Born July 19, 1930 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Chasko) Belinski. A retired secretary for both US Steel Clairton Works and Thomas Jefferson High School, Rita was a member of both Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church and the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Clairton. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to the casino, but loved to cook: especially for big family holidays. Besides her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Raymond G. York, who passed away March 4, 2021, and her siblings: Paul, Dorothy, and Marie Belinski. She is survived by her children Randall (Mary) York of Dormont, Monica King of Stow, OH, and Richard York of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren Jennifer York of Bangkok, Thailand, Maureen (J.W.) Johnson of Carnegie, Becca Tracy of Charlotte, NC, and Brett (Lauren Waugh) Tracy of Seattle, WA; her great-grandson Beck Johnson; and also nieces and nephews.

Born May 18, 1941 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Helen (O'Brien) McMahon and wife of the late Louis A. MacBeth. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Greg) Platte of Elizabeth, Tara (Jeff) Gluscic of Greenock and Erin (John) Barch of Versailles; grandchildren, Katie (Phil) Swartzlander, Beth (Andrew) Hoover, Rob (Xiara Long) Platte, Ellie (Jarrett Booz) Platte, Sean (Patty) McDermott, Samantha McDermott, Melanie (Charles) Murdock and Lisa Gluscic; great-grandchildren, Allison and Lainey Swartzlander, Grace, Anna and Jack Hoover, and Bailey McDermott; sister, Patsy McElhinny of Johnstown; also, nieces and nephews. Henry J. Giammario, age 97 of Greenock, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Concordia of Monroeville. Born November 24, 1923 in West Newton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Florence (DiSantis) Giammario. A US Army Staff Sergeant during World War II, Henry served in Normandy, France and Germany. He retired from Equibank where he was a Trust Officer for over 25 years. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish and the Croatian Fraternal Union, Lodge 146 of Versailles. Henry is survived by his wife Dorothy (Kisan) Giammario; his daughters Deborah Monaco of Plum Boro, Pamela (Jim) Jeltema of Bellebrook, OH, and Beth (Gregory) Smith of Indian Rocks Beach, FL; his four grandchildren; his one great grandson; his three step grandchildren; his five step great grandchildren; and also nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Anna Segedi, age 102 of Clairton and formerly of Washington, DC, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Born August 5, 1919 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Elizabeth (Miney) Segedi. A 1937 graduate of Clairton High School, Elizabeth worked as a civil service employee within the Federal Government in Washington, DC from 1941 to 1978. She began with one year for the IRS Income Tax Division, followed by 36 years with the US Coast Guard as a Visual Information Specialist for the Public Information Division. She was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish and the former St. Paulinus Church in Clairton and the Catholic Daughters of America Court 212 of the District of Columbia. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and, besides her parents, was preceded in death by her siblings Mary Segedi, John Szegedy, and Michael Segedi.
