Carmen P. Brusco, age 87 of West Mifflin, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born March 6, 1933 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Vincent and Virginia (Martini) Brusco.  A graduate of Clairton High School, Carmen was a retired truck mechanic for Continental Baking Company, a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of Holy Spirit Parish in West Mifflin, and a member of the Clairton AARP #1612.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years Sherry (Simpson) Brusco; his son Paul Brusco of West Mifflin; his sisters-in-law Patricia Brusco of Clairton and Marlyn Leonard of Mt. Pleasant; his nieces Debbie, Lisa, Carol, and Wendy; and his nephews Barry and Gary.  Besides his parents, Carmen was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Brusco.

Born June 2, 1960 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Terry Lee and Nancy (Vilsack) Pavlack. Martha C. Pastorik, age 97 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born November 16, 1922 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Matilda (Lesko) Geletko.  A devout member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton and its former Christian Mothers Association, Martha was an excellent seamstress and, more importantly, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years John W. Pastorik, who passed away on April 7, 2009, and her seven older siblings.  Martha is survived by her daughters Jean (Warren) Stoffer of Canonsburg, Nancy Sims of Clairton, and Louise (James) Ganss of Decatur, TN; her son John (Becky) Pastorik of Punta Gorda, FL; her six grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth Elizabeth (Baker) Schnur, age 79, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at UPMC East. She was a retired aide for Soltis Personal Care Home in Clairton and a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church. She loved her family, grandkids and great-grandkids. Born September 10, 1940 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Bush) Baker and wife of the late Duane F. Schnur. She is survived by daughter, Diane (Harold "Bugs") Michaels of Elizabeth; sons, Paul (Rita) Schnur of Rostraver Twp. and George (Lisa) Schnur of Elizabeth; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Chuck Baker of Pittsburgh and Jerry (Patricia) Baker of Pittsburgh; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Patrick Schnur, and brother, William Baker.

Mary Ann (Antoinette) Antczak Dirling, age 84 and longtime resident of White Oak, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 in HCR ManorCare, Monroeville, after battling an enduring illness.  Born June 22, 1936 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Plavchak) Antczak.  Mary Ann graduated from Divine Redeemer Academy in 1954, where she held the title of Miss Pinetum.  After graduation, she worked at Apter Bros., where she met her husband on the switchboard, Kundman's and Fitzy's Confectioners, later in life with Eckerd Drug, and, after retirement, at Phyllis' Fashions, formerly in White Oak.  A member of St. Edward's Parish in Herminie, in her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, shopping, talking with people, and feeding the animals in her yard.  Mary Ann will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.  She was a kind and thoughtful person with a heart of gold that would do anything for anyone.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Ronald) O'Rourke of Greensburg; grandchildren, Bridget Anne O'Rourke, MD of Wexford and Ryan Robert O'Rourke of Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by sisters, Ruth (Richard) Smith of Delmont, Edna (Bo) Rook of Buena Vista and Martha Bird of Cranberry Twp., also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Helen Billick, Edward "Bud" Winkelvoss and Sylvia Sebest.

She was an executive secretary for Hercules Corp. in West Elizabeth, a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, and was a longtime volunteer at the Bethel Schoolhouse. Joseph E. DeChicchis, age 96, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Jefferson Hospital in the company of his beloved wife and eldest child. He retired as a Command Pilot of the U.S. Air Force at the rank of Lt. Colonel, having flown "the Hump" during World War II (China-Burma-India), with subsequent combat service during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a former Director of Operations at the Pittsburgh Air Base and a former Wing Commander of the Pennsylvania Civil Air Patrol.

A member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp., he retired as a local area builder, having founded Joseph E. DeChicchis & Co. and J&E Building, and he was also the founder of J&E Rentals. Born December 26, 1923 in Painesville, Ohio, he was the eldest child of the late Caesar and Jennie (Perifano) DeChicchis.

Born October 31, 1972 in McKeesport, he is the son of Albert G. Howard E. Robb, age 92, of Forward Twp., passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in Mohawk Valley Health System. He was a retired crane operator for Fisher Body in West Mifflin and a U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed flying and building remote control airplanes. He loved traveling with his wife in their Airstream and was a former president of the Airstream Club. Born January 20, 1928 in Floreffe, he was a son of the late William A. and Goldie M. (Sesher) Robb and husband of the late Barbara A. (O'Dell) Robb. He is survived by a son, Richard A. (Melinda) Robb of Vernon Center, NY; grandchildren, Kasey Robb of Binghamton, NY, Nashua R. Stephen F. Lugarich

Stephen F. Lugarich, age 69 of Mt. Vernon, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, July 10, 2020.  Born April 7, 1951 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Steve and Bessie (Pekarsky) Lugarich.  A 1973 graduate of Penn State University with a BA in Accounting, Stephen retired in 2019 as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking for PNC Bank.  He was also a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish (St. Patrick's Church), the CFU Lodge #146, and the Penn State Alumni Association.  His family will always regard Stephen as a kind, thoughtful, driven, honest, nurturing, and grounded man; and remember him as an artist, father, golfer, doting grandfather, and a man that we should all aspire to be.  Also, Stephen is survived by his wife Paula (LoBue) Lugarich, whom he married in 1975; his children Kristin (Kevin) Wasko of Jefferson Hills, Stephen (Kathleen) Lugarich of Alexandria, VA, and Michael (Laura) Lugarich of McCandless; his grandchildren Brayden and Madison Wasko; his sister Kathy (Dane) Yancic of Elizabeth Twp.; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two cousins who were raised with him: Daniel and Milan Dimich.

She retired as a secretary for Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin and a former secretary at Community College of Allegheny County. She was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross in West Mifflin where she was a Eucharistic Minister and active with numerous church groups. Born December 23, 1933 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Gerhard and Margaret (Nath) Reich and wife of the late Herman J. Kandsberger. She is survived by daughter, Donna (Art Jr.) Bamert of Elizabethtown; son, Ronald (Florie Forsythe) Kandsberger of West Mifflin; grandchildren, Rebekka Bamert of Elizabethtown, Noah Bamert of Elizabethtown and Ryan Kandsberger of York; son-in-law, Jamison Beck of Surfside, SC; sister, Gertrude "Gerry" (Dave) McCullough of Seattle, WA; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Kathy Beck, and brother, George Reich. Visitation is private. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11 AM in Triumph of the Holy Cross, Holy Spirit Worship Site, 2603 Old Elizabeth Road, West Mifflin. Ronald H. "Ronnie Mac" McKeever, age 62 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at home on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.  Born October 26, 1957 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Harold "Irv" and Lois Jean (Nelson) McKeever.  A recipient of a BA in Administration of Justice from Penn State University, Ronald worked for more than 30 years as a juvenile probation officer for the Allegheny County Juvenile Courts and also as a patio host at Stone Villa Wineries in Acme.  He will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and generous man; a wonderful father and grandfather; and for always having a genuine love of people.  He is survived by his wife of 30 years Debra A. (Balocik) McKeever; his children Laurie (Greg) Geibel of North Huntingdon and Randy (Cari) Winkler of Baldwin; his grandchildren Dylan, Abby, Grace, and Ben; his siblings James, Robert, Gary, Richard, and John "Jack" McKeever and Nancy Lou Shaffer McKeever; and many nieces and nephews.  Ronald was also a wonderful father to four cats currently and many more through the years.
