Daniel Brinker Harris, age 71, of West Mifflin passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters Julie (Gina) Austen, Crystal (TJ) Washington, and Isabelle (Jeremy) Strong, and his grandchild, Austa Washington. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel B. and Isabelle J. (Felicity) Harris. Dan was a mechanic and a tow truck driver. He was an eccentric storyteller who loved gardening, scrapping, cats, and attending car cruises in his red 1960 El Camino.

Armondo Roma, age 95 of McKeesport, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 in Kane Regional Center - McKeesport. Born August 27, 1930 in Boston, PA. He was a son of the late Alex and Angelina (Fornaro) Roma. The owner of the former Roma Landscaping and the former Roma Trucking of McKeesport, Armondo was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was hard-working, lived life fully and enjoyed fun times with family and friends. He will be forever in our hearts. He is survived by his wife Theresa (Wedel) Roma; his children Richard (Debbie) Roma of Lincoln Boro, Melinda Pierce of Mt. Vernon, Chris Roma of McKeesport, Renee' Roma of Greenfield, and Amy (Mark) Irvine of Port Vue; his seven grandchildren; and his six great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Armondo is preceded in death by brothers, Milio Roma, Tony Roma, and Fred Roma; sisters, Millie Odorcich, Betty Buhaly, Lena Candelore, and Yolanda Wood.

Steven J. Hvozdik, 74, of Port Vue, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 23, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Port Vue, Steven was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Calvert, his sister Cindy, and his brothers John and Thomas Hvozdik.
He is survived by his beloved wife, with whom he’s been together for 53 years, Dawn, and his children: Steven (Kimberly), Amy, Jeffrey (Tabby), and Patrick (Liz). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob, Hannah, Haleigh, Ethan, and Cailyn. Steven will also be dearly missed by his brothers Robert (Anita) and David (C.J.), as well as many extended family members, friends, and neighbors who were touched by his life.
Steven was deeply involved in his community. He helped form the Citizen’s Committee, played Santa Claus for local children, and founded a dart league at the Port Vue Legion. Known as a hard worker and a true jokester, he gave generously of his time and energy. He loved reading, and could often be found walking the neighborhood, stopping to share a laugh or conversation with anyone he met. Steven also attended Port Vue United Methodist Church and worked as both a bricklayer and at Supervalue Warehouse in New Stanton.
Above all, Steven will be remembered for his giving heart, his humor, and his dedication to family and community. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the lives he touched.

Nancy Pauline Zyra, 76, of Center Township, Beaver County, passed away on September 19, 2025 in the comfort of her home with her husband and family at her side. Born June 22. 1949 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the Late Michael Sr. and Pauline (Elko) Cundra. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.
A beloved wife of 53 years to Theodore Zyra, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Marlene Knapp and Patricia (Patty) Mancia; and brother Michael Cundra Jr. She is survived by her son David (Judith) Zyra; grandson Noah Zyra; and her brother William Daniel (Liza) Cundra; additionally, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Thomas Michael "The Super Iceman" Greco, age 80 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 in Kane Regional Center - McKeesport, among family. Born August 12, 1945 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Mary L. (Benkulik) Greco. A member of the Teamsters Local and driver for Home City Ice and Hillendale Farms, Thomas was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and long time US Army Reserve Sergeant. He was also a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick's Church and the Yough Mon Model Railroad Club. Besides his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Sandra J. Greco, who passed away on August 28, 2025, and his sister Joanne A. Greco. He is survived by his children Anthony (Cara) Greco of Cincinnati, OH, Dana (Justin) Defonso of Boston, PA, Michael (Tammie Turner) Greco of Elizabeth Twp., and David (Annie) Greco of Eighty Four; his grandchildren Nevaeh, Jovanni, Antoinette, Mackenzie, Samuel, and Madelaine; his brother Robert A. (Kathleen) Greco of Tarentum; and also nieces and nephews.

Genevieve Terranova, formerly of Port Vue, Pennsylvania, passed away at the age of 98 on September 9, 2025. Genevieve, also known as “Gen”, anchored her life as a wife and mother to her immediate family and as a daughter to her parents, siblings and relatives.
Gen loved her life in Port Vue with her mother, Caroline Medved and stepfather, John Medved, along with her sister, Madeline Gross and brother, Richard Medved. Growing up, she played on the surrounding hills of her home with her sister, close relatives, and friends. Gen is also fondly remembered for her lovely singing voice through most of her life.
In 1964, Gen moved with her husband, Jack Terranova, formerly from Duquesne, and children Janet and Jim to Bucks County in Eastern PA. But, her heart and soul remained in Port Vue. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Schollenberger where she lives in Gettysburg, PA with her husband Doug Schollenberger and by her son, James Terranova and his wife, Jill Terranova of West Chester PA.
Gen has four grandchildren, Megan and Scott Schollenberger and Marc and Laura Terranova. In her later life, she has also been blessed with 5 handsome great grandsons from ages 7 to 2, Nolan, Jack, William, Finn, and Hank, and one darling little 18 month old great granddaughter, Charlie.
Dear Mom and Grandma, we will all miss you dearly. Family gatherings will never be the same without you.

Joann Sipkovich, age 78 of Clinton and formerly of Versailles, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born April 17, 1947 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late George and Irene (Mesko) Metz. A retired bank teller and former member of Dormition Russian Orthodox Church, Joann joins her husband, the late Stephen G. Sipkovich, who passed away April 2, 1993. She is survived by her brother George (Sandy) Metz; her nieces Noelle Kucera, Heather (Shawn) Kemper, Linda (Norman) Cachimia, Janice Metz, Debra (Rick) Pils, and Vicki (Kenny) Ankney; her great-nieces-and-nephews Tyler, James, Jacob, Riley, and Shana; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces-and-nephews, and great-great-nieces-and-nephews.

David (Dave) L. Schiavo, age 74 of McKeesport, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 in UPMC East. Born October 10, 1950 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Sarah E. (Gault) Schiavo. A truck or bus driver by trade, David enjoyed everything car-related, including his favorite sport of NASCAR. A tour bus driver with DeBolt Bus Company for 13 years, David was the teller of “this one bus trip I had…”stories, odd bits of trivia knowledge and appreciated listening to his favorite band, Pink Floyd. He will be most remembered as a devoted husband, father, and "Pap-Pap" wholoved his whole family. He is survived by his wife Donna (Novacek) Schiavo; his daughter Hilary (Kristofer) Happe of Baldwin; his grandsons Lucas and Colin; his sisters Marie (Tom) Rose of South Park, Joanne (Harold) Fetch of McKeesport, and Barb (Mike) Duffy of McKeesport; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jim (Delma) Novacek ofWindsor, PA, and also 11 nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, David waspreceded in death by his sister Sally E. Gooch and his brother Salvatore L. Schiavo.

John D. Finnegan, Jr., age 76 of Jefferson Hills, passed away at home on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Born June 17, 1949 in Clairton, he was a son of the late John D. and Irene L. (Graczyk) Finnegan, Sr. John was a US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. A recipient of an associate's degree in engineering from PTI, John worked as an engineer for various companies in the area. He was also a member of the VFW in Wilson. John is survived by his brother Mark (June) Finnegan of Charleston, SC, his sister-in-law Susan Finnegan, and his niece and nephews: Shea, Padraic, Justin, Joshua, Jacoby, and Scott Finnegan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Dennis and Kevin Finnegan.

A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Patrick's Church, Sandy loved to craft, bake her famous cookies, but most of all spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Thomas M. Greco; her sons Michael (Tammie Turner) Greco of Elizabeth Twp. and David (Annie) Greco of Canonsburg; her grandchildren Mackenzie, Samuel, and Madelaine; her stepchildren Anthony (Cara) Greco of Cincinnati, OH and Dana (Justin) Defonso of Boston, PA; her step-grandchildren Nevaeh, Jovanni, and Antoinette; her brother Allan (Cynthia) Guzewicz of White Oak; her nephews Shane, Blake (Hope), and Nathan (Taylor) Guzewicz; and her great-nieces-and-nephews Cole, Sophie, and Wesley.
