Ronald Robert Dixon, Sr., age 88, of McKeesport, died on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on January 13, 1935 and is the son of the late Harvey E. Dixon, Sr. and Gertrude E. Lightner Dixon Roman. Ronald was employed as an auto mechanic for most of his career and later was a truck driver who delivered trailers to various states. Ronald was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also loved to walk, especially around the neighborhoods of McKeesport and White Oak, and would frequently visit his friends at the Corner Donut Shop in McKeesport.

William Harold Kocis, age 73, of White Oak, PA and Port Vue, PA died on Friday, November 3, 2023. He was born in New York, NY on July 17, 1950 and was the son of the late Helen Kocis and the husband of the late Helen Louise Bucek Kocis, who passed on April 14, 2020. William proudly served in the United States Army as military police. Upon discharge, he was employed by US Steel National Tube Works and later moved to Pooler, Georgia with his wife and family to serve as an educator for the remainder of his career. You could always find William surrounded by his pets, a loving Siamese cat and loyal miniature poodle, and listening to music. William had a passion for 60's and 70's rock with a special interest in the British invasion. He was known by his family for remembering birthdays and making each card personal.

Christopher Matthew Klos, age 66, of West Mifflin, died on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 8, 1957 and is the son of Tina Ruzzi Klos of West Mifflin and the late Bernard J. Klos. Christopher was employed for 18 years as an electrician and universal master technician for The Techs. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church and was previously a member of their council.

Daniel Patrick Davis, 67, of Greensburg, died peacefully at Forbes Hospital on October 30, 2023. He was born in Greensburg on November 25, 1955 to Julie and Clayton Davis, the sixth of ten children. Dan attended Latrobe High School before studying Engineering at University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. He briefly lived in Wyoming, working on oil rigs, and California, before returning to Pennsylvania in 1977. He was a gifted musician and enjoyed playing and listening to music at Speal’s Tavern. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael, and his daughter, Mikaela.

Thomas Louis Russ, age 65, of Irwin, died on Friday October 27, 2023 after an almost 3 year battle with cancer. He was born in McKeesport on March 30, 1958 and is the son of the late Thomas Frank and Louise Mogus Russ. Thomas worked as a mill worker before retiring as a pipe fitter for People’s Gas in 2014. In his retirement, Thomas loved to spend time in his garage, where he could fix any lawnmower, and do all sorts of woodworking. He had a real creative eye for refurbishing and restoring furniture and building fixtures. Outside of his garage, Thomas loved to fish and boat, and especially to garden, growing cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, and most numerously tomatoes. Thomas was the gardener of the neighborhood and provided for all his neighbors. He was a former member of the General Smedley D. Butler Post 701 White Oak American Legion.

Daniel William Herlehy, age 75, of White Oak, formerly of North Versailles, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on March 27, 1948 and is the son of the late Paul James and Meredith Nelson Herlehy. Daniel graduated from McKeesport High School and was employed at General Motors as a Millwright until his retirement in 2003. He loved to travel cross county and assist at campgrounds with his wife. He was an avid card player and loved to play poker machines. He was a member of the General Smedley D. Butler Post 701 White Oak American Legion and the 11th Ward Club in McKeesport.

Josephine Marie Dorazio, age 95, grew up in Glassport, moved to McKeesport then to White Oak, died on Friday, October 13, 2023. She was born in McKeesport on March 19, 1928 and is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Galeza Pryzby. She was the wife of the late Frank G. Dorazio, who died on June 3, 2013. Josephine was previously employed at the former Philbert Candy Company of Glassport and retired as a cashier from the Foodland Grocery Store on Fifth Avenue in McKeesport. She was a member of the former St. Mary Czestochowa Church and its Christian Mothers.

Gary Trbovich, age 68, of McKeesport, died on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on September 3, 1955 and is the son of the late Nicholas and Dorothy Kusic Trbovich. He retired as a maintenance director after 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport and its Men’s Club. Gary served as an officer for the Junior Tamburitzans of Duquesne, as well as performing with the Balkan Dancers in his younger days. He was deeply engrained in Serbian culture from his church to its music and foods. Gary was an avid gardener and an “all Pittsburgh sport team fanatic”. The true lights of his life were his family, Kumovi, and friends.

It is with profound sadness, Sydney Ann Allenberg (Kleya) passed away with her family by her side on October 14, 2023 in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on September 22, 1990 in Pittsburgh, PA, Sydney was the beloved daughter of Michael “Boe” and Honi (Mendlowitz) Kleya. A few years later, Sydney became the loving sister of Jacob Kleya of Monroeville and Nathan (Rebecca Schorr) Kleya of McMurray. Sydney is predeceased by her father, Michael “Boe” Kleya, maternal grandfather, Sylvan Mendlowitz, and paternal grandparents, Julius and Helen (Przybyla) Kleya. She is survived by her mother, siblings, maternal grandmother, Blossom Mendlowitz, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

George Louis Trombola, age 89, of Conneaut Lake, formerly of McKeesport and Irwin, died on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on May 21, 1934 and is the son of the late George and Elizabeth Hando Trombola. George received his bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania and retired from Westinghouse Electric as a production supervisor, where he was employed for over 35 years. He had been a member of the former Transfiguration of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport, currently a member of Our Lady, Queen of the Americas Parish and the Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club, both in Conneaut Lake.

Charles Patrick “Pat” Riley, age 66, of Liberty Borough, died on Friday, October 13, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on December 22, 1956 and is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luke Riley. He proudly served in the United States Army, Special Forces Groups for 16 years, where he was involved in numerous combat missions. He was a pathfinder and learned crime scene investigations skills while in the military. He later retired as a police officer, where he served many different communities. Charles was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, as well as a former member of the Freemasons. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed all outdoor activities. He also played football in high school and enjoyed watching it all his life. He was a true lover of music, had own band at one time, and wrote a top 10 song when he was 17 years old.
