Helen Rosalia Berry, of McKeesport, PA, died on her 100th birthday on October 5, 2023. She was born in Munhall, PA on October 5, 1923 and is the daughter of the late John and Helen Fazekas Grega and the wife of the late Martin J. Berry. Helen was a devout Catholic who was member of the former St. Pius Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport, now Mary, Mother of God Parish. She was very crafty, loved to knit, and was an Avon lady for many years. She was also the owner of the former Betty Ann’s Hair Salon in Duquesne, where she was a Beauty Operator.

Ronald J. Yurik, age 82, of White Oak, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2023. He was born in Braddock, PA on November 2, 1940 and is the son of the late John and Adele Korbel Yurik. He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 56 years, Doris Barno Yurik, who died on September 25, 2020. Ronald was a member of the United States Army Reserves and later retired after many years from Carbidie. He was an avid collector of stamps and coins and loved to play Candy Crush Saga. He was a longtime member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church. Those that knew him would have described him as quirky, but a really good guy.

David Michael Jones, age 71, of Pittsburgh, died on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was born in Pittsburgh on March 13, 1952, and was the son of the late Helen C. Jones, and the husband of the late Kathleen Marie Williams Jones, who died on February 10, 2009. He was very proud to be a 1970 graduate of Westinghouse High School, home of the Bulldogs, where he played football. After graduating, David served in the United States Army. He was employed as a housekeeper for DoubleTree by Hilton in Pittsburgh for over 30 years. He received numerous awards and recognitions from his employer, including Employee of the Year multiple times and was the longest serving employee in his department. David was also an avid Steelers fan.

He was born in Shamokin, PA on October 11, 1931 and was the son of the late Alexander J. and Anna Danchak Drozdiak and the husband of the late Dorothy E. Dolf Drozdiak, who died on November 1, 2012. Alexander earned a bachelor’s degree from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) and later retired as an engineer for General Motors Fisher Body. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. Alexander enjoyed singing in the choir and cantoring at various churches throughout the area.
