 Cathy K. Trunzo, 66, of Glassport, died Dec. 4, 2024.  She is the daughter of the late William and Leona Kennedy.  She is survived by her beloved husband John “Jay” Trunzo; daughter Alyssa (Zak) Hutchinson; brother Steve (Shyla) Kennedy; grand kitties Betty and Stella and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  Cathy was a retired Transcriptionist for Jefferson Hospital, played the organ for the Hungarian Reformed Church in Duquesne for many years and was a member of William Penn Association Branch 226.  She loved doing crafts and attending the craft shows, including making jewelry.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sun. From 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral service will be held Mon. 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Borsay.  Interment following in the Hungarian Reformed Cemetery.

Deborah A. Seeman (Nolfi)

Deborah A. Seeman (Nolfi), 63, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 in Mononahela, Pa.   Debbie was the daughter of the late Del P. and Mickey Nolfi.  She was born Jan. 14, 1961 in McKeesport and grew up in Glassport.  She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Craig, and her two daughters Dayna and Jenna.   She was preceded in death by brothers John "Rusty" Nolfi and Paul "Dom" Nolfi.  She is survived by brother Del, Jr. (Lori) of North Huntingdon and sister-in-law, Sandy Nofli of Elizabeth and  Doreen Nolfi of Liberty, Aunt Patricia Nolfi of White Oak and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, including life-long childhood friend, Elaine Dimitroff (Prise).  Debbie was a South Allegheny Graduate - Class of 1978.  She attended Community College of West Mifflin for computer science and then followed employment with Matthews International, the Bronze Division.  Debbie was an avid animal lover.  She was a cancer survivor and her greatest joy in life was her two daughters.  She always led with her heart and was known to all that knew her as being the most giving person.  If you would like to remember Debbie, please made a donation to your local animal shelter, cancer research or local adoption agencies.  A celebration of lie event will be held at a later date.  She was an immensely caring and selfless woman she will be deeply missed.

James “Jimmy” M. Mack, Jr., 18, of Glassport died Nov. 17, 2024.  He is the son of James and Christina Mack.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by siblings, Jenna, Brionna and Gage; grandmother, Sandra Mack; aunts Jennifer (Ronald) Romano and Tiffany Morgan; uncle Stephen (Jonna) Parker; nephews DJ and Kash; nieces Izzy and Kynsleigh; cousins Ashley, Ciara, Alexandria, AJ, Trey, Peyton, Mason, Nathan, Jonathon, Bailey, Amanda, Aniyah and Kinsley; best friends Ant, Nick, Robert, Nati, Dale "Boosters" and Brad and many other friends.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sat. From 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:30 in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be  made to the funeral home to help cover the cost of his funeral expenses.

Billie Jo Goldsworthy, 57, of Washington, Pa, died Nov. 8, 2024.  She is the daughter of the late William and Mary (Harvey) Macri.  She is survived by her daughter Nicole Jackson; sons Justin Goldsworthy and Jerred Goldsworthy; grandchildren, or as she called them "Grandmas's Sunshines" Taylor and Braelyn Jackson; aunt Mary Herald and cousin Shelly Goldstein.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Jessica Goldsworthy and longtime significant other, Mark Conn.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Thurs. from 6 to 8.

Betty E. Phillips

Betty E. Phillips, 84 of Glassport passed away at UPMC McKeesport on October 28, 2024.  Betty was born in Glassport on Dec. 15, 1939, to the late George and Hazel (Irene) March.  She is the wife of the late Duane (Ziggy) Phillips.  Betty is survived by daughter Kerry Phillips of Queensbury, NY son Duane Phillips of Glassport; granddaughters Lindsay , Kaitlyn and Jacquelyn Fuller  and great granddaughter Alaina; brothers Robert (Helen) March, Tim (Karen) March and sister Mary Waugaman; nieces and nephews.  Betty enjoyed listening to old country music, polkas and The Gaithers Christian music.  She previously worked at Lawson’s Nursing Home in the dietary department. She was predeced in death by 5 sisters and 3 brothers.  Per Betty’s wishes there will be no viewing or services.  Arrangements by the Wojciechowski Funeral Home.

Florence “Diane” F. Harding, 81, of Glassport died Saturday October 19, 2024. She is the daughter of the late William and Ethel McClellan and beloved wife of the late Ronald Harding. She is survived by her sons Ronald (Maureen) Harding, Jeremiah Harding, and Tom Harding; grandchildren Missy (Dustin) Sayne, Harley (Justin) Massaro, James Trainer, Thomas Harding Jr., and Desiree Harding; great-grandchildren Elana and Deacon Sayne, and Hunter Massaro. She was preceded in death by her brother Ross McClellan. Diane was a Christian woman and child of god who  loved her faith immensley. She also loved her family, her music, and sitting on her porch.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. A  funeral blessing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 11am. Interment following Jefferson Memorial Park.

Michael “Sam” Gouker, 65, of Glassport died Saturday September 28, 2024. He is the son of the late Melvin and Kathleen (Desio) Gouker. He is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie Gouker; son Michael Sam (Ashley) Gouker II; daughters Amber Marie Gouker and Alexis Ann Gouker; grandchildren Mikey and Kaylee; brothers Mel, Al, and Charlie, and sisters Nadine and Toni Lynn; and many nieces and nephews. Michael was a member of Post 443 American Legion, Clairton Legion Post 75, and VFW Post 803. He was also in the carpenter’s union as well as an avid golfer and bowler. Friends will be received Wednesday at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home from 2-8pm. A funeral mass will be held Thursday 11am at Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church, White Oak.

Jared A. Edwards, 42, died Thursday September 26, 2024. He is the son of Dan and Theresa (Quintana) Mawritz. He is survived by his beloved fiance Melissa Esper; son Blake Edwards; mother of Blake Tara Braddock; brother Daniel Mawritz; sister Alina Mawritz; step-children Delaney, Lucy, and Sammy Esper; and many extended friends and relatives who loved him deeply. 

Jared was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved nature, riding his quad, and spending time in the woods, especially in his tree stand. He was very passionate about music, Pittsburgh sports, and his family. He was a successful construction worker dedicated to his business that he built.

  Lawrence D. Watson, 81, of Jefferson Hills died September 6, 2024. He is the son of the late James and Mary (Uniatowski) Watson. He is survived by his beloved wife Ruth (Gniefkowski) Watson; son Larry (Tara) Watson; daughters Wendy Beattie and Stephanie Watson; grandchildren Shayne, Ian, Abigail, Madeline, Luke, Vynyl, Urbyn, William, and Eden; siblings Christine, Teri, Harry, Michael, Denise, and Paul. He was preceded in death by his brother Jim Watson. Larry was a retired printer for Geyer Printing and a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish. Kowalski, 75, of Glassport, died Sept. 5, 2024.  She is the daughter of the late John and Anna Diehl.  Janet is survived by her husband David Kowalski; daughter Deena Thomm; son Dave Kowalski; grandchildren DJ Thomm, Anagean Thomm, Bella Ladisic and Zach Kowalski.  She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.  She was a member of St. Joachim & Ann Parish and the Glassport Senior Citizen Center.  Friends will be recieved on Sun. from Noon to 4.  A funeral mass will be held Mon. at Queen of the Rosary Church 10:00 am with Father Miroslaus Wojcicki.  Interment following New St. Joseph Cemetery.

Florence “Flo” Ganchuk, 97, of Glassport died Tuesday August 20, 2024. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (Wisniewski) Jablonski and beloved wife of the late Steve Ganchuk. She is survived by her daughter, with whom she lived with,  Kathy (Bob) Miskanin of Glassport; sons Steven (Judy) Ganchuk of Liberty Boro, and Tom (Debra Ann) Ganchuk of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Aaron, Bethany, Kristin, Steven, Michael, David, Jennifer, Luke, Perry and Jospeh; also many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Wiech.  Flo was a cafeteria worker for South Allegheny Elementary School in Glassport and a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish.  We would like to thank Family Hospice for all the help they have given us but especially Chaplin Marlena, our nurse, Tracy and Tela, our aide.  We would also like to thank Norma for everything she has done for us.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral mass will be held Friday 10:30am at Queen of the Rosary Church with Father Tom Burke. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery.

Ralph E. Schillaci, 76, of Elizabeth, died Aug. 18, 2024 at home surrounded by his dearest loved ones.  He is the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Pensenstadler) Schillaci.  He is survived by former wife Penny Schillaci; daughter Stacy (Mark Kelley) Schillaci; son Anthony Schillaci; his grandson, whom he adored more than anything, Kayden Kelley; sisters Judy (the late Ralph) Johnson and Josie (the late Frank) Soldate; his beloved dogs Keisel and Kali; Cousins Dan Schillaci; Don Schillaci; Joe Schillaci; & Lou Schillaci; as well as his numerous nieces and nephews .  He was preceded in death by sisters Terry (Jim) Webber and Marilyn (Nick) Borrelli.  Ralph was an avid golfer with a pure passion for the game. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and took great pride in his profession (& family) at Kaiser Permanente, his Italian heritage, his hometown of Glassport, and his amazing community of friends. Family was truly everything to Ralph and he always made sure his loved ones knew that.

Donald Trbojevic, 93, of Glassport PA, passed away peacefully on August 18th at Southwestern Veterans Center in Highland Park, PA. He is survived by his son Ted Trbojevic (Pam) of Glassport, daughters Vaune McGinn (the late Shawn) of Lincoln Borough and Kathy Trbojevic of Sewickley, PA.  Stepchildren Andrew Grese of Pymatuning PA and  Diane Carr (Ken) of Coulter.  Grandchildren Mike Denne (Katie) of Loveland OH, Cailtin McGinn of Sutersvillle, Brett McGinn (Brittany) of Lincoln Borough, Cory Trbojevic (Sally) of Lawrenceville, Sara Trbojevic (CJ) of Lawrenceville, great grandchildren Olivia, Elise, Kenna and Addison.  Step grandchildren Jon Ruzich, Jason Ruzich, Andy Grese, Darla Grese, the late Kelli Grese, nieces and nephews.   And his favorite canine companion (his boy) Coco. Preceded in death by his wife Kathryn (Bowers) Trbojevic and son Johnny Trbojevic, mother Anna (Mihalko) Trbojevic and father Rade (Ted) Trbojevic, sister Doris Hanna and brother George Trbojevic. Donald “Pap” was a 1949 graduate of Glassport High School.  He served as Sergeant in the US Marines during the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart.  Pap was employed by the Copperweld in Glassport and later was a self-employed landscaper for many years.  He enjoyed working, hunting, gardening, farming, his family, Coco, and his homestead.  Pap will always be remembered for his unwavering sense of humor and his resilience. The family wants to extend their appreciation to the entire staff of the Southwestern VA for the wonderful care they provided to Pap during his stay.

Carol "Gram" Ann Basser (Orenyak), 85, passed peacefully at home on August 6, 2024, after a two-year battle with Mesothelioma; surrounded by her family and close friends. Born August 13, 1938, in Glassport, PA, daughter of John Orenyak and Elizabeth [Lipchak]. Preceded in death by her parents; and ex-husband, Ernest Basser and daughter Mary Beth Basser. Survived by her sister; Diane Truitt (Orenyak); daughter, Christine Jacobs, and her husband, Christopher; grandchildren, Brandon Jacobs, and his wife, Ashley [Totino], and Jason Stevans; and great-grandson, Adler Jacobs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Native of Glassport and graduate of Glassport High School, she enjoyed roller skating and bowling with friends. Later residing in Duquesne, she had an impact on the community. Serving as a crossing guard, volunteering as a Girls’ Scout brownie leader, and participating in numerous school events, she was beloved by children of Duquesne, often referred to as a “second mom” by many. Living in Liberty Borough, she was a part of the choir at St. Marks Catholic Church after retiring from her career at Hills / Ames. Anyone who knew Carol knew she was an animal lover and baseball fanatic, often referred to as the Pittsburgh Pirates' #1 fan. Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral blessing will be held Monday, Aug. 19, 2024 at the funeral home at 10:00 am.  Interment following at Belle Vernon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
