Patrick Dennis Rack, 54, of Port Vue, formerly of Glassport, and who grew up in Duquesne, passed away on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, at his home. He was born in McKeesport on September 28th, 1971, to the late Stephen and Barbara Jean McCaslin Rack. Patrick was the loving husband of 3 years to his late wife, Kelley Rack. He is survived by his children Kayla (Jeff) McDonough of West Mifflin, Savanna Rack of Squirrel Hill, Brandon Rack of Brentwood, siblings Laura Marsh of West Mifflin, Mike (Kim) Rack of McKeesport, Steve (Maggie) Rack of West Mifflin, mother of his children and lifelong friend Tammy Rack of White Oak, as well as many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Tornado. In addition to his parents and wife Kelley, Patrick is further preceded in death by his brother George Garrison. He was baptized in a Russian Orthodox Church in Duquesne as a child. Patrick was a Veteran in the Army and was overseas in the Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm where he earned numerous awards, including an honorable discharge, Department of Army, Joint Service Achievement, 1st U.S. Army support battalion multinational force & observer, and 3 bronze medals. He received his Associates degree at Central Texas College while in the service. Patrick enjoyed golfing, playing pickleball, and was very involved in the Glassport American Legion. He also worked as a petroleum engineer and a steelworker. He worked at Mt. Lebanon School District for 2 years, U.S. Steel Clairton Works for 10 years, and Allegheny Petroleum prior. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045, from 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. with a service to follow at 8 P.M. The reception will be held at the Glassport America Legion during the 4 P.M. – 6 P.M. break in the visitation. Inurnment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
