With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Aryana Beth Walton, a bright and beautiful soul who graced this world on November 18, 2006, at Cherry Point Marine Corps Base in Havelock, North Carolina. Aryana left us too soon on February 8, 2025, in White Oak, PA, at the tender age of 18. Aryana was a cherished daughter, sister, cousin, niece, granddaughter, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She is survived by her loving father, JJ Walton, her devoted sister, Angelina Walton, and her caring brother, Frank Johnson. She is also survived by grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts, remembering her infectious laughter and generous spirit.

She was born in McKeesport, PA, on February 7, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Nebesa Goscinsky. She was the wife of the late John “Trapper John” Warabak, who died on November 15, 2009. Sophie loved puzzles, reading, playing bingo, and going to the casino.

Rose Marie Galaski, age 95, of Monessen, PA, died on Sunday, February 9, 2025. She was born in Latrobe, PA on September 22, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Walchok Grunwald. She was the wife of the late Steve Edward “Tepe” Galaski, who died on February 7, 2006. Rose was a beautician for many years along with her sister, Helen. She was a wonderful cook, baker, and an avid plant enthusiast. She was especially proud of her vegetable and rose gardens, as well as her many beautiful house plants.

Douglas A. Turk Sr., age 62 of Greensburg passed away on February 9, 2025. He was born on January 8, 1963 in McKeesport, a son of the late Andrew Turk Jr. and Joann Stark Turk. Doug was a graduate of Norwin High School in the class of 1982. Prior to his retirement, Doug was employed as a vocational-technical teacher where he instructed aspiring diesel mechanic technicians. He was also a volunteer firefighter for both the Circleville and Herminie Volunteer Fire Departments. In his free time, Doug enjoyed motorsports, flying remote controlled aircraft, and studying history, especially WWII. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by one brother David. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Jo Zalakar Turk, two sons Douglas Turk Jr. and William Turk (and fiancée Jamie), one daughter Amanda Walker (and husband David) one brother William Turk, one sister Kathie Spoon, and grandchildren Miranda Turk, Lukas Walker, and Skylar Walker. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Thursday from 2 PM to 6 PM. A closing prayer will take place at 6 PM. Carol A. Jeffcoat, age 86 of Herminie, passed away on February 8, 2025. She was born on October 2, 1938 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Ralph Weinel and Alice Gearing Weinel. Carol cherished her role as a homemaker and she always took pride in keeping a tidy house. In her free time, she loved to cook. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ken in 2009, and one sister Linda Jeffcoat. She is survived by one brother Ralph Blaine Weinel (and wife Cheryl) and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. James W. Crystal Lynn Madison Johnson of McKeesport PA formerly of Belle Vernon PA passed away on January 30, 2025, at 45. Crystal was born on February 9, 1997, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania. She was born to Iris Smith Madison of McKeesport and Norman Madison Jr. of Michigan. She was one of two children.
Crystal was a graduate of Belle Vernon High School in 1997. She went off to further her education at Bradford School of Business in Pittsburgh PA. where she obtained her business management degree in 1999. After getting her degree, Crystal managed Dollar General in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. She’s then moved on to McKeesport beer barrel where she managed for numerous years. In that process, Crystal showed her love and devotion to many in the McKeesport community where she was very well-loved. Crystal was also employed with a touch above the rest, cleaning company proceeding her death.

Natalie (Dorosa) Drop, 74, of Irwin, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 26, 1950 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Maxim and Anne (Matanic) Dorosa. Natalie was a graduate of Temple University with a degree in Anthropology, and also graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a Registered Nurse.
She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Jeannette Chapter, and a member of the Eastern Star Bluebirds. She is survived by her son Timothy J. Drop, a sister Nadine Dorosa, a brother Maxim Dorosa (Mary), aunt Mary Matanic, and uncle Michael Matanic (Anita).

Esther L. (McBride) McIntosh, formerly of North Versailles, passed away on January 29, 2025 in Walden’s View, Assisted Living, North Huntingdon.
She was born August 21, 1929, in East McKeesport, a daughter of the late George H. Sr. and Emma (Loeffler) McBride and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband William D. McIntosh, sons Ronald A. McIntosh and Richard D. McIntosh, and siblings Lois Kelly, George H. McBride Jr., John F. McBride, and Elaine Costandinu. She is survived by her son William D. McIntosh Jr. and his wife Daryl; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Sinkinson; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 2, at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Private interment will be next to her husband at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
