Ronald S. “Zeke” Novich, age 79, of McKeesport, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Sterling Home, McKeesport. Born in McKeesport on February 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Steve and Betty Novich.

He was retired as a clerk from Allegheny County Office in charge of paying gas bills. He was a member of the former Christ the Light of the World Parish, Holy Name Church, where he served as an usher and a member of the former Duquesne Moose. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his brother Greg (late Sue) Novich of Delmont and sister, Donna (Novich) (Edward Deabner) Allen of Munhall.

There is no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Soresh Ben David Messianic Congregation, 105 N. Park St., Monroeville, PA. Donna M. Keller, age 66, of McKeesport, formerly of Reading, died April 14, 2026, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born March 3, 1960, in Reading, she was the daughter of Gerald (the late Edna) Keller, and the late Shirley (Reider) Keller, and partner of Allene Byrnes.

Donna's spirit embodied kindness and generosity. She was known for her unwavering willingness to lend a hand to those in need, embodying a rare compassion that touched the lives of many.

She had a profound love for animals, cherishing her pets and caring for all creatures great and small. Her joyous spirit shone brightly in many places, particularly at the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 23 in Lawrenceville, where her laughter and zest for life brought warmth to those around her. A proud member of the Central Fire Hall in Reading, Donna enjoyed the camaraderie of her friends and fellow members.

Her passion for shopping and slot machines brought her much joy, and she embraced every opportunity to smile and enjoy life to the fullest. She will be remembered not just for her love of fun and laughter, but for the compassionate heart that defined her.

In addition to her father and Allene, Donna is also survived by her siblings, Susan (Mario) DeSantis, Craig (Lisa) Keller, and Debra (Barry) Readinger; her granddaughters, Alyssa Brandt, Breanna Brandt, Mariah Byrnes, and Chantel Byrnes; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara L. Bell, of Dravosburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on November 24, 1953, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by her family.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Bell; her son, Marty Bell (Lori); and her daughter, Crissy Pacewicz (Eric). She is also survived by her brother, Matt Dick (Erin). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Caitlin, Aubrey, and Sarah Pacewicz, and Marty Bell Jr. She also shared a special bond with her niece, Reghan Zebroski, whom she cherished like a granddaughter, as well as Reghan’s sons, Benji and Mitchell.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Dick Sr. and Peggy Dick; her brothers, Lloyd and Terry Dick; and her sister, Shirley Mains.

Barbara found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also loved spending time at the beach, where she felt most at peace.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public viewing or funeral services. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Marian Szmyd, age 89 of Jeannette died April 15, 2026, at the William Penn Care Center. She was born November 13, 1936, in Jeannette, Pa, a daughter of the late Curtis and Malvina Deguffroy Crescenzo. Prior to her retirement, Marian was employed as a computer operator for the Bureau of Mining. She enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her house, and growing blueberries and raspberries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Szmyd, son, Craig Szmyd, one sister, Vivian Covin. Carole Sue Zecchini Patrick, 81,of McKeesport, formerly of Frank, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026. She was born June 19, 1944 in Frank, PA and was the daughter of the late Richard and Melva Estella (Hall) Gardner. Carole was the wife of the late John David Patrick, who passed away March 17, 2018. Carole lived most of her life in Frank, until moving to McKeesport. She was well known for teaching piano and organ out of both her home in Frank and McKeesport to hundreds of students throughout the years. She also shared her talents of piano and organ in numerous churches in the area. Carole was a manager at the former Family Christian Book Store in West Mifflin for many years as well.  She was a current member of The Norwin Alliance Church in North Huntingdon.  Carole also enjoyed gardening and was an exceptional baker and cook, who spent a lot of time in the kitchen, cooking for family and friends. She was known for sweets, especially cookies and lady locks, and her cappalletti pasta that she would make for the holidays. She enjoyed traveling, some of her favorite destinations were the beach, England and Scotland. Carole had an amazing circle of friends, that she enjoyed going to numerous tea parties with, most notably The Betsy Shoppe’s in little Boston. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who will be greatly missed.

Jacqueline "Jackie" (Frye) Rolla, age 68 of Manor, PA, died on April 14, 2026 in Greensburg.  She was born on January 6, 1958, a daughter of the late William W. and Constance (Beers) Frye.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and beloved husband, Edward L. Rolla Jr.  She was a 1976 graduate of Hempfield High School.  Jackie loved going to yard sales, and spending time with her family and dogs, Bella and George.  She cherished the time that she spent coaching her daughters' cheerleading and softball teams.  Jackie grew up and lived in Manor almost all of her life, where she enjoyed her neighbors.  She is survived by two daughters, BillieJo (Rolla) Bussard and her husband Bill, of Irwin, and Jade Rolla, of Manor, one granddaughter, Kaylyn Bussard; one sister, Pam Kinzel and her husband, Denny; one sister-in-law, Beverly Myers and her significant other, Rich Serlo; and numerous additional cousins and family members.  Jackie and her late husband devoted their lives to BillieJo, Jade, and Kaylyn.  Friends will be received at the James W. Raymond B. Frye

Raymond B. Frye, 76 of Manor, passed away at home on April 14, 2026, after a long fight with COPD/emphysema and other illnesses. He was born December 20, 1949, in Greensburg, PA, the son of the late Dorothy and Raymond Frye. He was a 1967 graduate of Hempfield Area High School. In high school, Ray was lead singer in the band, All Luv Us, playing at many popular local places, and also being the intro for famous singers and bands. He enjoyed this until he and others in the band were drafted into the Vietnam War. He proudly served his country in the Air Force as a sergeant in the 819th Red Horse Combat Engineers Unit. After the war, he was a machinist for Westinghouse Electric, a long-haul tractor trailer driver for Helms Express, then became a Corrections Officer at the Western Penitentiary in Pittsburgh until his retirement due to his health. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, riding his motorcycle, and loving his cats and dogs through the years, especially his last long-living cat companion, Daisy. He enjoyed many years of helping baby-sit grandchildren Holly, Samantha, Eric and Alex, and watching them grow up into adults. He also enjoyed driving Marlene to visit places like Branson, MO for the country music, gem mining in North Carolina and finding a 9K ruby, searching for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds in Arkansas, and visiting her sister Bunny in Florida. He was a member of the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans, and VFW. Ray is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marlene (Krukowski/Zaucha); his sons, Kevin (Laurel), Brian (Tim), and Jimmy (Renee), step-son Garret (Lisa) Zaucha; grandchildren Eric, Alex, Autumn, Caleb, Miranda, Mason and Nathaniel (Frye), Holly and Samantha Zaucha; great granddaughter Callie Frye; sister, Donna (Corky) Betlan; Aunt Pat Whipkey; niece Traci (Jeff) Braid; nephew Jeff (Christy) Betlan; great nephews Bennette and Everett Braid; great nieces Violet Braid and Madelin Betlan; sisters-in-law Frances "Bunny" Aliskovitz and Virginia McLeod; best friend of over 40 years, Joe (Sue) White; and many other relatives, cousins and friends. We are very grateful to the nurses, aides and doctors at Forbes Regional Hospital for the incredible care they showed Ray as he was declining. He constantly thanked and loved each one of them. Toward the end, Ray was very happy and blessed to spend time with all of his family and feel their love. He will be forever grateful for that gift. He also had a wish he wanted to be known: "DON'T SMOKE! You will end up with terrible health and long suffering, not being able to breathe until the end." A celebration of Ray's life will be private, and his burial will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, the Military cemetery located in Bridgeville, PA. Born January 4, 1939 in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore "Babe" and the late Martha (Smereczniak) Tiano. She was also the loving wife of 41 years to the late Lloyd Sechrist, who passed away in November of 1998. Sondra lived a life centered around love, family, and unwavering dedication to those she cared for most. Known as the true matriarch of her family, Bubba devoted her life to raising her children and grandchildren, and she took immense joy in her great-grandchildren. She never missed a single event, always showing up with pride, love, and support. Her presence was a constant source of strength and comfort, and her family always came before anything else. As her kids were growing up, she was a stern, yet wonderful mother, but as she got older, she softened her ways. She was a nurturing spirit-she made sure everyone was fed, cared for, and gave to everyone selflessly without hesitation. She embraced family differences with grace and understanding, always keeping her loved ones close. She attended the Glassport Assembly of God and was very strong in her faith. As well as a hardworking and dedicated house cleaner. A precious soul, she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
