Franklyn L. Farrell, age 86 of North Huntingdon died February 11, 2023. He was born January 16, 1937 in California, Pa. , a son of the late Francis and Olive Hornbake Farrell. Prior to his retirement Frank was employed as the manager for Columbia Gas System. After retiring, he served as the manager for the propane division for Valley National Gases. Frank was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a Major during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons , Irwin Shidle Lodge 601. Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, 32nd degree Mason, Syria Shrine of Cheswick, Pa, He was a past president and life member of the Corvette Club of Western Pennsylvania. He was a 10 year volunteer and member of the operative staff for the Vintage Grand Prix. He is survived by his beloved wife Patty Zavage Farrell for 33 years, stepdaughter, Michaeline Quintana, granddaughter, Hannah Quintana and one brother Mark O. Farrell. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 19 at 1:00 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Jane E. Steiner, age 76, of West Mifflin, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at home. Born in McKeesport on June 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Doris Jean (Davis) Sklencar. She was a retired art teacher for the McKeesport Area School District, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Trinity Church and was a docent at the Frick Museum. She enjoyed the arts, her cats, spending quality time with people, going shopping with and spoiling her grandchildren, taking friends to lunch and hosting numerous parties at her home. She also did arts and crafts for senior citizens and troubled youth. Jane was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. “Bud” Steiner, who died on June 2, 2005; mother of Robert J. (Gina) Steiner of Churchill; and grandmother of Robert John Steiner II, Adam Steiner, and Natalie Steiner. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, very close cousins and very close friends. Alex J. "Lucky" Roka, age 69 of Versailles, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 in Jefferson Hospital. Born April 21, 1953 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Alex "Shunny" and Margaret (Derkas) Roka. A US Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War, Alex was a drummer, playing locally with the bands The Locomotives and the Austin Nichols Band and in the Philippines with the Mike Hanipoli Band. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, the late Christina Roka, who passed away in 2002. Alex is survived by his six children: Edward Roka of Glassport, Arjuna Roka of McKeesport, Laksmi (Matthew) Petrick of Sutersville, Shiva Roka of McKeesport, Chai Roka of Monroeville, and Krsnadasa (Beth) Roka of McKeesport; his nine grandchildren: Dante Petrick, Corey, Myah, Alana, Isabelle, Narayana, Ellora, and Tuika Roka, and Matt Petrick, Jr.; his sisters Linda (James) Sheedy and Lisa (James) Fleckenstein, both of Versailles; his brothers Charles "Buzz" (the late Michelle) and John Roka, both of Versailles; and also nieces and nephews.

Jan "Mae" Wunderley Gobel, age 67, of Liberty Borough, died February 9, 2023, at Canterbury Place. Born October 5, 1955, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Norma (Hillegass) Wunderley and the wife of Richard J. Gobel.
Jan worked as a dedicated nurse for 47 years at UPMC McKeesport. She was a former member of Liberty Presbyterian Church and the Liberty Borough Ambulance Service. Jan received the UPMC's Award for Commitment and Excellence in Service (ACES) and the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses both in 2013. One of her favorite places to visit was Disney World in FL. Most of all, spending time with her grandchildren brought her the most joy.

She was born June 25, 1948 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter to the late Thomas Moran, Sr., and the late Helen (Abram) Moran. Chris was an incredible artist - as a seamstress, a skilled painter, and crafter. Chris had filled her house and many other's houses with beautiful custom murals and crafts through the years. She was an Art Teacher at CCAC and was a member of the River City Church AG in Glassport. She enjoyed traveling and loved the beach, especially Ocean City, Maryland and Ocean City, New Jersey.
