Helen M. (Demchak) Mathews, age 72, of Elizabeth, and formerly of Clairton passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Jefferson Hospital. Born October 8, 1952 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen (Kohut) Demchak. She worked for many years with the food service team at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills. Helen was preceded in death by her husband the late William E. "Bill" Mathews who passed away February 26, 2019. She was survived by her daughter Beth (Douglas) Kimball; son Ryan Mathews; granddaughters Michelle (Kenny) Picard and Amber (Chris Kunak) Kimball; great-grandchildren Cameron Picard, Chloe Phillips, Bryce and Zeke Picard, and Connor Kunak; siblings Ginger Demchak, Margie Donato, Marlene McCorkle, and Edward Demchak; and nieces and nephews. All services for Helen are private at the request of the family.

He was born on November 21, 1942 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Bruncak) Kobulnicky. Michael was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during Vietnam. He worked as a laborer for US Steel for 16 years and later as a custodian for Elizabeth Forward School District. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, casinos and watching football. He was the loving husband of 58 years to Alberta Mae (Faust) Kobulnicky.

Frances C. Weaver, 72, of Scott Township, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. Born July 12th, 1952, in Glassport, PA, Fran was the youngest daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Krivonak) Ksiazek. She is survived by her two sons Ken (Andrea) and Christian Weaver; grandsons Jack and James; sister Martina Rabickow; brother Michael (Linda) Ksiazek; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years Charles E. “Chuck” Weaver; sisters Janet and Nancy Ksiazek; and brother Ken Ksiazek. Fran was kind. She was loving. She carried a welcoming disposition, inviting conversation with everyone she encountered. Her delightful sense of humor catered to all. She was strong as well. A resolute independent spirit known for taking on life’s challenges with fierce determination and unwavering Faith. A graduate of South Allegheny High School, she took pride in working multiple jobs throughout her youth and early adulthood. She reflected most fondly on her career and travels with Trans World Airlines in the 70s. She met Chuck while employed at the Hahn Furniture Company. They wed on August 9th, 1980. Fran enjoyed cooking and excelled at it. She mastered all the old-world recipes: Pierogi, Chicken Paprikash, Golabki, and many more. Everything from scratch. Everything from memory. For decades, requests for her recipes received the same coy response, “of course, I have it all right here” with a point to her head. Her baking abilities were legendary. Chocolate pudding cake, cookie sandwiches, and homemade pie were among her trademarks. She briefly operated her own catering business, Heavenly’s, specializing in homemade gift baskets. She sold countless pies out of Bednar’s Farm Market, unable to match the demand. Whenever her sons’ friends visited, she would cut into her inventory and start passing out slices. Enterprise was no match for a generous heart. Caring for others was her specialty. She raised two boys with the deftest balance of doting and discipline. Every need was met. Every mistake made into a lesson. Every accomplishment was celebrated (typically with baked goods). Rarely a day passed without a phone call to her mother, or sisters, or friends. She liked to conclude her talks with a joke or a Bible verse. Usually both. She had a passion for gift-giving. Plants and flowers sent to friends, old photos to family, a handwritten note and some stickers to her grandchildren. Simple tangible expressions of sentiment to always remind her people she cared. Above all else, she loved and supported her husband, Chuck. For so many years, their nurturing sustained each other far beyond what was believed to be possible. Faith in the Lord and dedication to her husband were two unshakable constants. She spoke of Chuck daily and genuinely looked forward to a reunion with him and their Creator in Heaven. There are no formal services planned. Fran was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandma. She will be missed dearly and remembered always.

Lee W. Martin, Sr., 62 of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital. He was born in McKeesport on April 10, 1962, to the late Robert Martin and Anna Mae Miller. Lee was the loving fiancé of Lisa Conley. He is survived by his fiancé of seven years, Lisa Conley of Pittsburgh, and Lisa's children, children Lee (Amy) Martin, Jr. of Port Vue, Chad (Jennifor) Martin of Glassport, Josh (Carissa) Martin of Port Vue, Brianne (Benny) Ess of Wilmington, NC, sibling Drew (Connie) Martin of Forward Twp., grandchildren Chad Jr., Daniel, Chloe, Mia, Benny Jr., Brant, Gabrielle, Mia, and one on the way, nephew Todd Ramsey and many more nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents as well as sister Carla Campbell. He was formerly employed for over 10 years by Meineke Car Center in North Versailles. Lee will be missed by many. He enjoyed motorcycles and being a jack of all trades and was always there to fix almost anything. He had the biggest heart and he was such a fighter. Even in the last few years of his cancer fight when it would knock him down he would bounce back. Unfortunately, that would be Lee's biggest battle. Arrangements have been entrusted S.M. Justine Shuck, age 95, of Greensburg, formerly of Clairton and West Newton, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Westmoreland Manor. She loved polka dancing. Born April 29, 1929 in Marianna, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Virginia (Beard) Hutchinson and wife of the late James O. Shuck. She is survived by daughters, Brenda (Paul) Bizzozero of West Newton and April Pazo of West Newton; grandchildren, Tracie (Jeff) Martini, Paula (Dave) Bizzozero, Angie (Jim) Bizzozero, Ray Pazo, Justina Conklin, Karol Forbes, Jaime Grimenstein and Kayla Grimenstein; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. Osborne, age 71 of Irwin, passed away on March 18, 2025.  She was born on July 23, 1953 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Ed and Barbara Marinak.  Prior to her retirement, Geri was employed as a secretary by Westinghouse.  More than anything, Geri loved to spend time with her family.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Eric Osborne, two sons, Anthony Ledonne and Matthew Osborne, two daughters Jessica Frank and Carrie Flocker, one brother Ed Marinak (and his wife Cathy), eight grandchildren, Taylor LaCavita, Olivia Osborne, Kayleigh Frank, Alyssa Flocker, Justin Frank, Nathan Flocker, Aiden Ledonne, and Aaron Ledonne, and two great-grandchildren Gwendolyn and Clark.  There will be no public visitation.  James W. Theodore G. Leriotis, 88, of Monroeville, died peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born December 18, 1936, in McKeesport, a son of the late George and Helen (Valgas) Leriotis and was also preceded in death by his wife Loretta A. (Acalotto) Leriotis and his brother James G. Leriotis. Before retirement Ted was a self-employed sales representative operating Leriotis Associates alongside his brother Jim. Ted was a people person and missed the daily interactions after retirement. To keep busy, he worked part-time at a local furniture store and later worked as a greeter for Snyder Funeral Home. He enjoyed golfing with friends and his wife, Loretta, at Willowbrook Golf Club. He adored his wife, daughters, and grandchildren and loved all his pets, especially his cat Winston. Ted’s other hobbies included working out at the gym and enjoying weekly lunch gatherings with his friends.

Donna Marie Slater, 60, of North Versailles, was born May 4, 1964, in Braddock, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Gertrude (Morrison) Slater.

Donna was employed at UPMC McKeesport Hospital in the Housekeeping Department.

The kitchen is where you would find Donna, she was known as a great cook! She was always joyful outgoing laughing keeping the party going. Donna enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Donna departed this life on March 12, 2025, at her residence in North Versailles, PA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Morrison Slater, son, William Paxon, brothers, George Slater, Donald Slater, sister, Patricia McGuigan.  

Donna is survived by her beloved; son, Christopher Paxon; four grandchildren, Destiny, Kristina, Christopher and Gavin, sister, Sandra Wampler; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was the husband of the late Carol Ann (McMullen) Roberts who passed away February 15, 2021. Roy was a member of the former St. Pius V Catholic Church where he and Carol served as Eucharistic Ministers. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge # 955 where he served as Grand Knight for 2 terms. He loved cars, rock music, and animals. He and Carol also worked with the Pennsylvania Great Dane Rescue and adopted three Great Danes, rescued Pugs, and many other beloved pets during his life. Roy worked in public safety, employed as armed security for Allegheny Health Network and previously with Landmark Armored Car Services. He was affectionately known as "Pap". He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Tim) Viszlay, Laura (the late Richard) Gibson, and Paula (John) Payne, grandchildren, Allen (Angie) Nemetz, Melinda (Jim) Colla, Nicholas (Kelsey) Nemetz, Cody (Brittany) Hamm, Hayden (Alexis) Hamm Amber (Erik) Hamm and Ericka (Fiancée Harrison Heuston) Gibson, great-grandchildren, Beau Bazzani, Kasper Slavik, Stella Nemetz, Lettie Nemetz and Levon Slavik, and nieces and nephews.
