Barbara A. Balint, age 81, of McKeesport, died September 8, 2022, at home. Born May 14, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Waldo) Polanowski and the wife of the late Raymond A. Balint for 58 years.
Barbara worked at Bell Telephone Company as a keypunch operator until she started her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church. She enjoyed attending bingo, although her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Richard M. "Junie" Matthews, 86, of Sutersville, formerly of Gratztown, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at home. He was born June 30, 1936 in Daisytown and was the son of the late Richard G. and Belva (Clark) Matthews. He was the husband of the late Doris I. (Wood) Matthews who passed away October 16, 2015. Junie worked for the former Tygart Steel and Hays Amunition and was a US Air Force Veteran.

Duane J. Kutchak, 88, of Liberty Boro, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, died Sept. 9, 2022. He is the son of the late John and Margaret (Spernock) Kutchak and beloved husband of the late Coreen (Collins) Kutchak. He is survived by his children Lynda (Vance) Sedlar, Wayne (Julie) Kutchak, Sondra (Ted) David, Vince (Terri) Kutchak and David Kutchak; grandchildren William Sedlar, Wayne Kutchak, Kristin Dubois, and Chandler Kutchak; great grandchildren Lyric Fulcomer and Caden and Noah Dubois; and sister Loretta (John) Yablonsky. E. Richard Kolesar, age 90, of East McKeesport, died September 4, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born June 25, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Michael and Susan (Hudak) Kolesar and husband of the late Rita Yvonne Kolesar for over 55 years.
Richard retired from Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission (now the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission) as a Senior Traffic Engineer. He served in the United States Army during periods of the Korean and Vietnam wars, in both active and reserve status, with recognition of the National Defense Service Medal. Richard's military rank was First Lieutenant in the Field Artillery Branch. Throughout his life, he lived Army Strong and was a Soldier for Life. Richard was a McKeesport High School graduate and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University, graduating in 1954. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. In his free time, Richard enjoyed reading and collecting books, especially on the subject of history. He enjoyed animals, wildlife, hiking, and the mountains. His family finds peace in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Rita, and his savior Jesus Christ.

Helen (Gdovic) Epler, age 97, of McKeesport, died September 7, 2022, at Kane Community Living Center in McKeesport. Born March 13, 1925, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Koval) Gdovic and wife of the late Roy O. Epler. Helen was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish and the Holy Trinity Senior Group. She worked as a cashier at the Victor Theatre in McKeesport and J&L Steel, inspecting bombs that were sent overseas during World War II.

Dolores M. Yutzy, age 86, of McKeesport, died September 6, 2022, at home. Born March 1, 1936, in Glassport, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marie (Horn) Willard and the wife of the late Rev. Ray A. Yutzy.
Dolores retired from H.L. Green and was a member of the United Christian Temple of Uniontown, PA. Dolores took great pride and loved caring for all of her grandchildren. As of late, she enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel and Game Show Network.

Julia Elizabeth "Jean" Naspinsky, 87, of McKeesport passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022. She was born August 25, 1935 in Morrisville, PA and was the daughter of the late George and Susann (Jedlocki) Majoros. She was the wife of Frank A. Naspinsky for over 40 years before he passed away in March of 2001. She was hardworking, loving, and devoted her time to taking care of her husband and the house before his passing. Jean was a long time member of the Free Hungarian Reform Church in McKeesport. She also adopted many animals through the years and treated them as if they were her own children.

In her 94th year, Dorothy (Krajack) Klasnic, age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 under Amedisys Hospice Care at Arden Courts Jefferson Hills. Born on March 11, 1928 to Croatian immigrants, the late Mijo and Dora (Kralj) Krajac, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Port Vue where she and her late husband John (Bones) Klasnic enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Dorothy was a great baker and passed down her recipes with personal guidance to her family. A member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge No.3 in McKeesport, she was proud of her Croatian heritage. she was also a member of the Port Vue Senior Citizen’s and St. Mark’s Parish. Dorothy is survived by a loving and grateful daughter Debra Klasnic Wesolowski (Mark) of Jefferson Hills, granddaughter Julia Wesolowski Kysela (Daniel) of South Fayette and great granddaughter Katherine Kysela. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces. Dorothy was the last of her family and was preceded in death by siblings Joseph Krajack, Michael Krajack, Rose Krajack Medic and George Krajack who will surely welcome her home. Special thanks to the staff and administration at Arden Courts for their remarkable personal care and many acts of kindness.

George F. Dirani, age 80, of Lower Burrell, passed away on June 23, 2022, at UPMC East. Born in Lebanon on February 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Fouad and Almasa Dirani. His family was very important to him and he was very proud of them. He was a loving and generous father and he could be very stubborn. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, and watching them grow, and woodworking. He also loved watching his grandchildren grow. He is in a better place and is reunited with his loving family members who preceded him. George is the husband of Juliette (Sassine) Dirani; father of Riad (Deborah) Dirani of Philadelphia, Aleen (husband, Justin Moser) Dirani of White Oak, and Rami (Helene) Dirani of Philadelphia; 8 grandchildren; brother of Mona, Michele Dirani, Milad Dirani, Georgette (Kahalim) Zhakem, and late Elias Dirani and late Al (late Donna) Dirani.
