Mary Alice Oeler, 85, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was born on November 1, 1939 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Sitko) Elko. Mary Alice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mary Alice was a long time parishioner of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michaels church and was a 1957 graduate of Glassport High School. She loved to crochet, complete puzzles, read, bake and line dance. She especially loved making her grandchildren macaroni and cheese. She proudly raised her children and grandchildren. She was the loving wife of 58 years to George R. Oeler.

Carol Sue (Lutz) Macrania passed away on August 23, 2025. Sue passed peacefully at home. Susie is survived by her husband, Jim; four children; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Roberta (John); and nieces and nephews. Her loving family was the center of her life, she enjoyed reading books, and was a fabulous cook. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Eugene, and a grandchild. The family would like to thank the friends and neighbors, as well as Bridges Hospice, whose compassion and kindness meant so very much. Abiding by Sue's wishes, no services will be held. David W. Foster, age 68 of Port Vue, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 in Meadowcrest of Bethel Park. Born June 14, 1957 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late James M. and Janet E. (Thompson) Foster. A former member of the Mentor Road Bible Church in Forward Twp., David retired as a bus driver for Port Authority. He was a huge fan of Kennywood, especially riding the Thunderbolt, and was a member of the Kennywood Alumni and a few rollercoaster clubs. David is survived by his sister Karen Savage of Liberty Borough; his nieces and nephews: Lori (Ryan) Savage of Liberty Borough, Jennifer (Sabri) Keskin of Langhorne, Matthew (Emily) Savage of West Mifflin, Heather Wright of Liberty Borough, and Brian Wright of Port Vue; and his lifelong close friends John Platt and Beth O’Shea. Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister Debbie Wright.

Mary Lou Alfonsi, age 68 of Clairton, passed away at home on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born May 17, 1957 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Italo and Giuseppina (DiMarco) Alfonsi. A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, Mary Lou worked as a former supervisor of housing development for the Urban Housing Authority and also worked as a schoolteacher at St. Clare School and a Home Base Instructor. She is survived by her sister Teresa (Rocco) Marzo of Geneva, Switzerland, her niece Pina (Marius) Marzo, her nephew Marco Marzo, her great-nephew-and-niece Ethan and Giulia, her close cousin Diane Black, her dear friend/sister Denise Longo, her cat Kenzie, and also other cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Domenico Alfonsi and her beloved dog Mugsy.

Diane C. Lieb, age 64, of Liberty Borough, died on August 27, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born October 17, 1960, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ida (Carrozza) Foster.
Diane dedicated a significant part of her life to her role as a unit secretary and later, as a scheduling coordinator for the South Hills Orthopedic Surgery Associates. Her diligence and kindness in the health care field were a testament to her desire to help others, showcasing her compassionate nature.
An ardent lover of crafts, Diane found joy in creating beautiful pieces that reflected her vibrant personality. She also loved gardening and expressing her personality and passion with her colorful choices of plants and flowers. After a long day of gardening, she relaxed by taking a joyride in her Mazda Miata, followed by a glass of red wine. Her creative spirit shone brightly at the family camp at Mountain Pines Campground, a place where she forged lasting friendships and cherished memories. Diane believed that BALANCE was the key to creating a happy life. However, what brought her the greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, who filled her life with immense happiness and love.

MaryAnn was retired from the proof department of Equibank. MaryAnn enjoyed meeting with her friends for lunch and also talking with friends and playing bingo at Hilltoppers Club in East McKeesport and North Versailles Seniors.

Loretta E. (Abraitis) Nothdurft, age 74 of Whitehall, passed away at home on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born January 17, 1951 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Mabel E. (Hagen) Abraitis, Jr. A retired pharmacy technician, most recently for UPMC Mercy Hospital, Loretta was also preceded in death by her husband, the late Peter J. Nothdurft. She is survived by her children Heather (Richard) Graham and Heidi Nothdurft; her grandchildren Hananiah Graham, Charlotte (Andrew) Mellinger, Abigail Graham, Shane (Benae) Coburn, Douglas Coburn, and Makayla (Duwon Terrell) Coburn; her great-grandchildren Isabelle and Alivia Coburn and Duwon, Jr. and Allure Terrell; her brothers Michael and David Abraitis; her sister Susan Maria (the late Jack) Cokain; and also nieces and nephews.

Linda L. Beck, age 75 of Greensboro, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 in WVU Health Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born January 6, 1950 in Canonsburg, she was a daughter of the late James Walter Beck and Nellie Opal (Frum) Beck. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and employed at the Liberty Candy Co. for more than 20 years, Linda enjoyed roller skating in her younger years and loved to crochet, play bingo, do jigsaw puzzles, observe butterflies and wildlife outside of her home, feed the hummingbirds that would visit, and root on the Steelers. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Linda is survived by her daughter Kimmi (Douglas) Graboski of McKeesport; her grandchildren Sara (Nathan) Burnau of San Diego, CA and Nathan (Cassidy Chappell) of McKeesport; her great-grandchildren Bodhi and Sebastian; her sister Karen (Bob) Kelly of Greensboro; and also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jerry, James Jr., Thomas, and Terry Beck and also two of her nephews.
