Harry Maurice Ackerman, 74, of McKeesport, passed away on Monday, December 9th, 2024 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in McKeesport on June 1st, 1950 to the late Carl Lewis Ackerman, Sr. and Jean Claire Magee Rodman. Harry was the loving husband of 55 years to Rosalinda Ackerman. In addition to his beloved wife Rosalinda, Harry is further survived by his children NormaJean Lewis of McKeesport, Harry Ackerman, Jr. of McKeesport, Thomas (Krystal) Lee Ackerman of McKeesport Rosalinda (Roger) Ackerman of McKeesport, siblings Patti Maldonado of McKeesport, Irene Alvarez of North Versailles, Kathy McNelis of Glassport, Roberta (Jon) Rodman of McKeesport, Carl (Denise) Allen of McKeesport, Bruce Ackerman of McKeesport, Glenn (Frank) Ackerman. Grandchildren Alyssa (Bradley Harris) Bryce, Kristofor Bryce, Belinda Bryce, Michael Bryce, Thomas Ackerman, Jr., Taylor Ackerman, Tristen Ackerman, Cash Ackerman, Bryan Kane, Candace Lewis. Great-grandchildren Santana, Montana, Quintana, Bradley, Taylee, Talia, Trinity, Ma’Jour, Mi’lAh, and his faithful dog Chipper. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his sisters Linda Penn, Carol Ackerman, Lisa Ackerman Wimbs, Merry Singler, and brother Perry Ackerman. Harry loved to play bingo, pass out snacks, drive around while listing to country western music, and he would always save pennies. He worked as a repossession man for American Recovery in McKeesport. Family and friends will be received on Thursday December 12th 2024 from 2 P.M. – 6 P.M. at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045. A service will take place 6 P.M. at the funeral home. The committal will take place at Richland Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the family. David Shearer, age 63, of McKeesport, died December 7, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born November 4, 1961, in Braddock, he was the son of the late William Maxwell Shearer and Margaret (Ord) Shearer-Zawasky and fiance of Judy (Oddo) Barber.
David dedicated much of his life to his work as a roofer, honing skills that helped many in his community. His hands, calloused yet gentle, carried a profound knowledge that turned houses into homes. In retirement, he found joy in his other passions, particularly fixing cars and motorcycles. Nothing brought him more satisfaction than breathing new life into machines, a testament to his creativity and steadfast dedication.

Ernestine was a retired nurse anesthetist at UPMC Magee, primarily in the delivery room. She earned her nursing degree from Braddock Hospital and then a Master’s Degree from California State University. She was a member of the former St. Hedwig Church-Duquesne and was active with and very proud of her Polish heritage, taking multiple trips to Poland. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved to sew and travel.
She is the beloved wife of 59 years to Ronald T. Jeroski; mother of Cara Jeroski (James) of Allison Park, and Amy (late Jason) Chuderewicz of Virginia Beach, VA; grandmother of Lauren Chuderewicz, Isabella James, Justin Chuderewicz, Ethan James, Ava Chuderewicz and Alyssa Chuderewicz; and sister of Loretta (Francis) Waszkiewicz of West Mifflin and Claudia (Joseph) Pilarcik of Calcutta, OH.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 2-7 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. Kimberly A. (Tkach) Sloss, age 67, of Liberty Borough, died at home peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with dementia on December 1, 2024. Born November 3, 1957, in West Mifflin, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. "Sonny" and Evelyn "Sis" (Skovranko) Tkach.
Born with a nurturing spirit, Kim dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that encompassed her passion for kindness and compassion. Kim was a devoted mother to her daughter, Cara Sloss, and the proudest grandmother to her grandsons, who were the light of her life. There wasn't an event she would miss, her infectious enthusiasm and unwavering support made her their number one fan, and she embraced the role of "grandma" to all children who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dolores T. “Dolly” Kehrer, 87, of White Oak, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born May 5, 1937 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Harry and Stella (Sikora) Winniewicz. She was the wife of the late Thomas Kehrer, who passed away November 16, 2007. Dolly was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family being around her. Dolly loved playing poker, going on trips to the casino, taking road trips to the beach, camping and going out to eat. She will be greatly missed.

Mary A. "Honey" Cottone, age 89 of North Irwin passed away December 8, 2024, at her home. She was born August 26, 1935, in Bagley, Iowa, a daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Cramer. Honey was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin and a devoted catholic. She was a registered nurse who, throughout her life, took care of many family members. Mary enjoyed candy and chocolate. She was made of sweets; thus, her nickname was 'Honey". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Benito V. Cottone, her beloved daughter, Ana Cottone, a sister Linda and two stepsons, Ralph and Anthony Cottone. Theresa (Arroyo) Fry, age 82 of Greensburg died December 4, 2024 at Grandview Estates. Born September 18, 1942 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Maria (Primerano) and Antonio Arroyo, and the wife of the late Jack E. Fry Jr.
Theresa worked various jobs throughout her life. Theresa and Jack enjoyed attending Oldie shows, dancing, and the classic car shows. When she wasn't entertaining her family on the holidays, she enjoyed trips to the casinos to play the slots and the many wonderful places her and her husband traveled to. She was able to visit Italy and Hawaii; They drove cross country, visiting Vegas, the West Coast and many other places along the way.
