Sean L. McKown, age 47 of Kettering, Ohio passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at home. He was born in McKeesport, PA on April 6, 1972 and is the son of the Susan C. (Halstead) Owens (Michael) and the late Laurence K McKown. Sean is also survived and by his step-parents Larry and Shirley (Rusinko) Maglicco of Elizabeth Township, Brother Larry Maglicco of Kettering, Ohio, and girlfriend and companion Amber Phillips, also of Kettering, Ohio. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Ted J. Kacmarik, age 73 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in Jefferson Hospital. Born June 15, 1946 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Cecelia (Kolokowski) Kacmarik. A retired Chemical Operator for Koppers, Ted was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton and the National Railroad Historical Society. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Cheryl (Rothey) Kacmarik, a sister, brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

George Lawrence "Chin" Garrison, 64, of West Mifflin died peacefully at home on Sunday, February 9, 2020. Born in McKeesport, February 27, 1955, he was the son of the Late Barbara McCaslin Rack and stepfather Stephen Rack. Mr. Garrison was a long time employee of Kennywood Park Corporation. Beloved husband of Linda (Sabol) Garrison, he is also survived by a daughter, Melissa Garrison, three brothers Michael (Kim) Rack of McKeesport, Stephen (Margaret) Rack of Dravosburg, and Patrick Rack of Glassport, a sister, Laura (Greg Marsh of West Mifflin and several nieces and nephews.

Clifford Wesley Flegal, Sr., age 99, of the Tenth Ward section of McKeesport, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Lincoln Place, one of 10 children. Cliff, the last of his generation in the family tree was preceded in death by his parents, the late Foster E. and Mary Jane (Baxter) Flegal, Sr., brothers, Melvin (Fania) Flegal, Foster E. "Bud" (Virginia) Flegal, Jr., George A. (Mary) Flegal, Paul E. (Florence) Flegal, M. Wallace "Wally" Flegal and John Williard "Jack" Flegal; sisters, Beulah Flegal, Margaret (Thomas) O'Toole and Blanche (Thomas) Allison and his beloved wife, Janet Buti Flegal.
As a young man, Cliff enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Dec. 1941 after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served as a Chief Yeoman during World War II traveling to Europe and the Pacific, receiving an honorable discharge in 1945. Throughout his life he showed pride in family, city, flag and country.
Cliff, a lifelong and proud Republican was formerly active in politics as a Candidate for US Congress in 1951. He served as McKeesport City Controller, City Clerk of Council, and Chairman of the McKeesport Republican Committee. When he was in his 60’s, he retired as a Workman’s Compensation Representative for the Department of Labor and Industry where he helped retirees with benefits.

Sandra (Gillen) Holland, age 77, of Dade City, FL, formerly of Clairton, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 10, 2020. She was a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church in Elizabeth Twp. and was a retired manager for M & M Uniforms in Elizabeth. She enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Born April 17, 1942 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Wayne T. and Mary D. (Bircher) Gillen. She is survived by son, Wayne (Eva) Holland of Zephyrhills, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Holland, Sarah Holland Nichols, Nicholas Holland, Alex Holland, Ashley Holland, Alora Holland Butler, Wayne D. Holland and Kasandra Holland; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, John "Jack" Gillen of Tennessee; sister, Kathy Gee of Virginia; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, James "Hymie" Roy Holland. There will be a memorial gathering in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 12 PM until the time of a memorial service at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Damian Schoonmaker officiating. Ray worked for 32 years in Receiving and as a forklift driver at the Former PACE then Sam's Club in West Mifflin. He was a loving father and loved his family. Ray loved the Steelers and watched them anytime they played.

Beverly J. (Smith) Parker, 71, of Glassport died Feb. 10, 2020. She is the daughter of Robert Brown and the late Doris E. Smith. She is survived by her beloved husband Herb Parker; daughters Heather (Dave) Langsdorf, Carrie (George) Price, Carly (Jeffrey) Westfall and Penney (Janice) Krocsko; grandchildren David, Breanna, Natalee, Paige, George, Jonah, Gabrielle, Chloe, Gavin, and Sophie; sisters Penney (Bill) Estep and Nancy Lauderbaugh; brothers Jeff Lauderbaugh, Roy (Brenda) Lauderbaugh and Robert (Darla) Brown, Jr.; and her furry babies Katrina, Buddy and Quasar. She was preceded in death by her brother Russell Lauderbaugh. Beverly was retired from UPMC and the Dept. of Public Welfare; was a member of the Glassport Assembly of God Church and was an avid bingo player. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Wed. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. A funeral service will be held Thurs. 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment following Round Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wojciechowski Funeral Home to help the family with the funeral.
