Elizabeth (Womack) “Liz” Johnson, born May 31, 1947, entered her heavenly home, April 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Lydia (Richards) and Walter Lee Womack, adored brother Walter E. Womack, beloved daughter, Tiffany Nicole Johnson, and endeared nephew Marvin Womack.
Liz was raised in Rankin, PA and in 1998 moved to McKeesport where she was an active member of the community. In September of 2012 Liz began a thirty-year career at General Motors/Fisher Body BOC, where she worked in various positions, from janitorial, to fork lift driver, assembly line worker, to welder. Her greatest joy came when her skills were recognized and awarded with a promotion to Team Leader. After retiring from General Motors Liz decided to return to work and gained employment with the McKeesport Area School District as a Security Officer. She was a longstanding member of St. Paul AME Church and diligently served on the Missionary, Steward, Usher, and Trustee Boards, at various times throughout her membership. She also served as a nurse and on the hospitality committee. Liz loved to sing and expressed her love of gospel music by singing in the Ben Harris, Gospel, and Mass Choirs. She was an avid reader of the Bible and participated in various Bible Studies.

Rose Ann (Bacco) Hyde, 94, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was born February 1, 1929, in Wilmerding, a daughter of Joseph and Clara (Pecora) Bacco. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William H. Hyde, and in addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her daughter Diane Stein; 13 siblings Caroline (died in infancy), Patsy, Caroline, Ralph, Archie, Louis, Sammy, Angeline, Gabe, Tony, Flora, Joe “Junior”, and Johnny.

Vangie "Evangelia" Argyros, age 80, of McKeesport, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in White Oak where she was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos and enjoyed volunteering at church functions and events with her late husband. They were the former proprietors of Vangie's Restaurant in Renzie Park in McKeesport, and she enjoyed gardening and cooking Greek food. Born September 8, 1942 in Samos, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Anastase and Magdaline (Frangoulis) Plataniotis and wife of the late George K. Argyros. She is survived by children, Ken "Greek" (Tammy) Argyros of Elizabeth Twp. and Maggie Argyros of New York, NY; and grandchildren, Ashley (Brandon), Alexis (Matthew) and Nicholas. Rudolph P. "Blue Jay" Gori, age 78 of Clairton, passed away at home on Friday, April 21, 2023. Born July 16, 1944 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Magdalene (Benedetto) Gori. A US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, Blue Jay worked for 34 years at GM's Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin. He was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church; the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75, and the Sons of Columbus Santa Maria Council #4, all in Clairton. Blue Jay was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Steelers and Pitt.

Nancy (Yenchenko) Bitkowski, 81 of Clairton, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on Friday, April 21st, 2023, at her home. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 14th, 1941, to the late Trafim and Mary (Pancrato) Yenchenko. Nancy was the loving wife of 59 years to the late Leonard T. Bitkowski. She is survived by her daughters Sherri (Scott) Basch of Jefferson Hills and Pamela (Jerry) Angotti of Clairton. Surviving grandchildren include Nathan, Michael, Jeremy, Tom, and Gabrielle, as well as great-grandchildren Mason, Oliver, and Gia. Further survivors include a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Bitkowski Sr., son Leonard Bitkowski Jr., daughter Lisa Snyder, grandson Jarad Angotti, sisters Olga and Pauline Yenchenko, and brothers Raymond, David, Jack, Leonard, and Donald Yenchenko. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with her beloved family. Nancy served meals to students at the West Jefferson Hills School District for over 44 years. William “Bill” Davis, 77 of Clairton, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, April 21st, 2023, at his home. He was born in McKeesport on July 12th, 1945, to the late Charles P. Sr., and Rose M. (Barna) Davis. William was the loving husband of 47 years to the late Helen Davis. He is survived by children Amber Paluti of Waynesburg and Rebecca Davis of Clairton and brother Charles Davis Jr. of Ohio. Further survivors include grandchildren Christy Paluti, Jonathan Davis, Kristin Davis, Samantha Rush, Jordan Jones, as well as great-grandchildren Randol, Layla, and Delilah, and nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his son William Michael Davis, daughter Helen Charmaine Davis, sisters Gloria Jean Connay and Barbara Laffey, and dog Petie. He was the former owner of Billy’s Pizza as well as a volunteer for Jefferson Hospital. He enjoyed puzzles and listening to the radio, as well as having great talents as a jack of all trades. William also loved the John Wick movies and could often be found listening to Bob Seger’s song Like a Rock. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, from 9-10 AM at S.M.
