Gabriel R. Hrico, 90, of West Mifflin fell asleep in the Lord peacefully at home on Thursday, March 11, 2021.

Born in McKeesport on September 2, 1930, he was the son of the Late John F. and Margaret (Hromi) Hrico. Mr. Hrico was a foundering and faithful member of S.S. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne; member and former officer of the Parish Men's Club; a retired educator and beloved teacher in the Duquesne School District with 35 years of service.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean conflict. Beloved husband of the Late Virginia (Kuzo) Hrico, he is survived by his loving children Lori Hrico, West Mifflin and David Hrico, Easton PA, and a sister-in-law, Madeline Fecik, Strongsville, Ohio, and God Father to Kristy Ann (Kuzo) and Christopher (Loya). In addition to his parents and loving wife, he was also preceded in Death by his son Michael J. Hrico and 4 Brothers.

Michael J.Gogoel III, age 60, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Heritage Valley Medical Center. He was a certified master plumber for Boyer & Pentek Inc. in McKeesport.

Michael had a deep-rooted bond with his family and extended family, and was especially close with his cousins. He was proud of and embraced his heritage and always enjoyed family gatherings and other types of celebrations. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and was involved with the Owls in Industry and the WMBU in Blythedale.

Born March 21, 1960 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Michael J. Gogoel Jr. and the late Helen B. (Korona) Gogoel. He is survived by his sisters, Katharine (Arthur) Hohn of Ruffsdale, Barbara (Jimmy) Pascotti of Elizabeth Twp., Michele Boyd of Elizabeth Twp., Claire (David) Bench of Austin, TX, and Bernadette Thompson of Cheswick; nieces and nephews, Arthur, Christopher, Kara, Amy, Marshall, David, Natalie, Vinnie and Wayne; 12 great-nieces and nephews; one great-great niece; special friend, Bonnie Maringo; also, cousins and close friends.

He was born in McKeesport on October 11th, 1962 to the late William Sr. and Shirley Yeager Harbert. He is survived by his son Elmer J. (Destiny Houser) Harbert Jr. of Glassport, stepdaughter Krista Wampler of McKeesport, grandchildren Aniyah Harbert, Makiah Harbert, Mason Harbert, Christopher Harbert, James Clark, Kamera Clark, brothers William (Anne Marie) Harbert of Lake Murrey S.C. Michael (Claudette) Harbert of McKeesport, Dante Harbert of Irwin, sisters Robin Anderson of Wagner S.C. and Sharon (Chad) Snowdon of Myrtle Beach S.C. Elmer was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Carter Harbert and grandchild Cameron Houser. Elmer was a graduate of McKeesport High School and worked as a commercially licensed truck driver and served in the Army. He enjoyed visiting parks and most of all enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Sunday March 14th, 2021 at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Service will begin at 8pm. Lake, 86 and a half, of Irwin, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg.  She was born September 11, 1934 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Dorothy Walker Tranter.  Joyce was a member of the United Methodist Church of Irwin and the Thursday Morning Ladies Donut League.  She enjoyed bowling, crafting and trap shooting at Herminie #2 Sportsmen’s Club.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Martin; brother, Glenn Tranter and his wife, Geri; and niece, Debbie Nickel.  She is survived by her sons, Steve (Donna), and Wayne; daughter, Marcy (David) Miller; grandchildren, Melissa (John) Gill, Michelle (Josh) Curry, Holly (Rob) Ferencuha, Samantha (Shane) Charles, Logan Lake, Jeremy (Alexis) Lake, Alexander (Kim) Lake, Nicole (Will) Perkey, Jay Lake; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee, Lucas, Liam, Noah, Zane, Eric, Luca, Samuel, Katalina, Savanna, Zachary, and one great-grandbaby on the way; sister-in-law, Alice May Backoefer; nephew, Dan Backoefer; and nieces, Pam Hamilton and Val Dymer.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Jack Douglass "Hank" Jorgenson, age 73, of Springfield, VA, formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Capital Caring Health Adler Center. He was a retired COO for Janjer Enterprises in Silver Spring, MD and a US Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #176 in Springfield, VA and McLean Bible Church in McLean, VA. Some of his most memorable opportunities were his two trips to the Holy Land, his baptism in the Jordan River and his mission trip to Haiti. Born December 10, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Jack Preston and Anna Vaughn (Douglass) Jorgenson. He was the previous husband of the late Sharon Lynn Gillen Jorgenson. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Hamric of Ashburn, VA and Linsey Jorgenson of Haymarket, VA who is currently serving in Haiti as Director of Streethearts; granddaughters, Jaclyn Nicole Hamric and Kayla Noelle Hamric; sisters, Janna (Steve) Keyes of West Bloomfield, MI and Deborah Urban of Elizabeth; also, nieces, Devie Rollison and Jessica Keyes; nephews, Kyle Gillen and Steven Keyes; aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 2 PM graveside at Round Hill Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life at Droopy’s Blaine Hill BBQ following the service to celebrate both Hank and Shari Jorgenson. Memorial contributions may be made to Streethearts Haiti, helping homeless street kids in Haiti, 15109 Championship Drive, Haymarket, VA 20169. Gilbert J. Pearsol, 75, of North Versailles, passed away, Wednesday, March 10, 2021. He was born May 11, 1945 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank and Jane (Jenkins) Pearsol, and in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Vera Jane Jones.

Gilbert was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, formerly St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport where he was active as a reader and lay minister. He worked as auto mechanic for over 45 years at various car care centers including Dean Honda, Langston Subaru, Smail Acura, Spitzer Toyota, and most recently he owned and operated Gil’s Collectables, White Oak, specializing in sports memorabilia.

Gilbert volunteered for the East Allegheny Athletic Assoc., where he was a little league coach for the Ann McKay baseball team. He loved spending time with his family, taking trips to Disney World, and greatly enjoyed all of his grandchildren.

James E. Johnson, Jr. “Peanuts,” 75, of McKeesport, departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2021. He was born July 2, 1945 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was the son of the late James E. and Katie L. Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his older brother Charles R. “The Governor” (Cleo) Johnson.

James retired from the United States Navy after 21 years of service. He was a Mortician at the Surburban Funeral Home in South Carolina. James loved music, he was the guitar player of the Elords and the Soul Steppers band.

James is survived by his wife Barbara J. Johnson; sons, Garland Bennett of Silver Spring, Maryland; James E.
