Violet Mae Carlett, 92, was called to heaven on Monday, May 4, 2020.  Vi was born October 6, 1927, in Warren, Pennsylvania.  In addition to her parents and a sister, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allan, and son, David.  Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Pogue (Mark) and grandchildren, Lauren and Nathan.  Also surviving are brother-in-law, Owen Ferguson and nephew, Scott Ferguson (Michelle), and great nieces Chloe and Cara.  Vi graduated from Warren High School, Eastern Nazarene College and The Pennsylvania State University.   She taught first grade in the Warren County School District for 34 years.  She loved teaching children to read.  Vi was a published author writing children's reading materials for the American Book Company.  She was also a successful business woman and owner of Vi's Candy Nook.  Vi professed her life to Christ at an early age.  She was a member of the Warren First Church of the Nazarene and most recently the Norwin Church of the Nazarene.

Aaron White was born on March 26, 1943 to the late John Thomas and Anna Lou White. He peacefully passed away in his home on April 27, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his brother’s Andrew White, John White and sister Mary (White) Dumas.

Aaron was a graduate of Clairton High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps for four years. He served a tour in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. After his time in the Marine Corps, he was a former police officer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Washington, D.C. Aaron enjoyed playing cards and loved reading novels. He was a man of many talents, one of them included fixing cars.

Wilson Jefferson Reaves, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this life in AHN Jefferson Hospital on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Wilson was born May 10, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Fredrick O. Jefferson and Florine R. Macklin Jefferson. He was the second of four children. His son, Wilson Jefferson Reaves III; daughter, Stacie Ann Reaves; brother, Elbert, and sister, Charmaine McCormick, preceded him in death.

Wilson, affectionately known as Buzzy or Buzz, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He was educated in the Philadelphia Public Schools.  He joined the Air Force in 1956. After returning home, he worked several jobs until he became a mail handler for the U. S. Postal Service; from there he retired. Buzz later met and married Wilma J. Ellis of Clairton, PA. Both were avid bowlers and together won many tournaments and trophies.

Nancy A. Krupa, age 77, of Monroeville; formerly of East McKeesport and Corry, PA passed away on May 2, 2020 after a nine-year battle of mental and physical decline due to Alzheimer’s disease. Born March 28, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Walter & Gladys Krupa. Nancy and her husband, Eugene “Red” Haynes owned and worked at their company, Kory Builders, as general contractors for 27 years. Initially, Nancy physically worked alongside her husband on the jobs; but as the company grew, she worked in the office managing the company’s operations and overseeing the jobs. During that time, Nancy was an active member of the East Allegheny Business Association and also on the board. Nancy was a strong, independent woman who enjoyed working in the man’s world of construction. Nancy and Red also enjoyed traveling across the country on their motorcycles and were married for 33 years until Red’s death in 2006.

An Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he was a member of St. Thomas A’ Becket Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills, the Knights of Columbus, and a lifetime member of Brentwood VFW Post 1810. Born May 31, 1941 in Uniontown, he was a son of the late Joseph Leo and Ada Catherine (Moxley) O’Brien. He is survived by his partner of 46 years, David A. Lycett of Pleasant Hills; sisters, Mary Ann Welc of Mt. Pleasant and Sheila O’Brien Greer of Connellsville; brothers, Patrick and Jim O’Brien, both of Uniontown; also, nieces and nephews. She was born April 2, 1927 in McKeesport, Pa., a daughter of the late Gustave and Mary Johnson Lindberg. Dorothy was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, East McKeesport, Lutheran Church Women, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 472, Past Matron in Aliquippa 430 and White Oak AARP. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Beckwith Machinery in the data processing department.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Inks in 1999; her son, Donald; three brothers, William, John, and Robert Lindberg; two sisters, Ida May Coneyveer and Ruth Lindberg. Gary-Keane and her children Matthew, Kerry, Jr., Josephine, and Julianna Keane, Richard L. (Susan) Gary Jr and his children Elise and Richie Gary, Joseph A. Lewonas, age 75 of Clairton, passed away at home on Monday, May 4, 2020.  Born August 2, 1944 in Duquesne, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Anna (Balaban) Duymic.  A devout and attending member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Marianne worked for many years at Kaufmann's (later Macy's) in Century III Mall, later working as a greeter at Sam's Club, all in West Mifflin.  She was also very proud of her Croatian heritage, shown with her involvement and past-presidency in the Duquesne Junior Tamburitzans and membership in the CFU Lodge #248, Clairton.  Most importantly, she was a focused and loving mother and grandmother...until her great-grandchildren came along.  Besides her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Kenneth Lewonas, who passed away on September 26, 2013, and her brother Matthew (Natalie) Duymic.  She is survived by her children Lea (Scott) Smith of Pleasant Hills and David (Kimberly) Lewonas of Elizabeth; her grandchildren Rachel (Michael) Piscitelli and Meagan Lewonas; her great-grandchildren Gianna and Lorenzo Piscitelli; and also nieces and nephews.

Noma Faye (West) Mochtyak passed away May 3, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Mochtyak (April 7, 2020) and her son Michael J. Mochtyak, as well as her parents Earl and Lena West and brother Earl Francis West.  Faye loved being a stay at home mom and raising her daughters and was the owner of the Americanettes Marching Corp. with her husband.  She is survived by her daughters Denise (Terry) Skelley and Darlene (Jim) Behanna; grandchildren Tara (Doug) Czekaj, Roy (Angela) Behanna, Brett (Rachel) Skelley, Kristy (Joe) Behanna and Evan (Michelle) Skelley; also 4 great grandchildren.  Her daughters would like to express their thanks to Three Rivers Hospice for their compassionate care given to both their parents, especially Rachel, Ellen and Kelly.  There will be no visitation due to Faye's request.
