Arthur Clarence Clawson, of Duquesne, formerly of Clairton, passed away at home Sunday, August 12, 2018. He was born November 16, 1950, in Clairton, to the late Albert and Anna Lucas Clawson. He is survived by sons, Arthur (Bonnie) Thompson of Spring Lake, NC, Chad Clawson of Glassport; daughters, Melissa Clawson of Glassport, Ann Clawson of Versailles Boro; grandson, Trent Carlisle of Spring Lake, NC; siblings, John Clawson of Mechanicsburg, Susie Fiore of Glassport, Ethel (Matt) of Glassport. Delbert “Pav” Ivan Pavlick, 90, of Clairton, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. He was born March 29, 1928 in Duquesne to the late Samuel and Mary Hollish Pavlick. Delbert was a loving husband for 43 years to the late Edith A. Azzari Pavlick. He is survived, and will be greatly missed, by his adoring daughters, Valerie Pavlick-Gnazzo of Clairton, Adrianne (Curtis) Pavlick-Miller also of Clairton, Michele (Claude) Sims of Port Vue; grandchildren, Zachary, Athena (Nathan), Jared, Xavier, Lennox (Garrett), Santeaun, Hunter; and brother, Samuel (Mabel) Pavlick of Florida; nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, Delbert was preceded in death by granddaughter, BreAnne; and sisters, Margaret Pearson & Ethel Pavlick. He was a proud veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Delbert was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Duquesne, was employed by the US postal service for 56 years, was an avid golfer, enjoyed softball, bowling, played football in the army while he was stationed in Japan, and was the basketball coach at St. Clare of Assisi for 37 years. In 2005, he won “PA’s Outstanding Older Worker” award which is a prestigious national award given to elder workers (only 1 per state) to acknowledge their years in the workforce. He was a proud and loving man who would help anybody at any time, especially his family. Visitation will take place Friday August 10, 2018 from 3 – 9 pm at S. M. Raymond “Tut” Marcelleous Tuttle, 74, of Port Vue, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. He was born February 23, 1944 in McKeesport to the late William M. and Hilda Evans Tuttle. Raymond is survived by ex-wife and friend Karen Tuttle; daughter, Kelly Tuttle of West Mifflin; son, Raymond Tuttle Jr. of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Kristy Lee Hall of West Mifflin, Anthony R. Hall of Glassport, Timothy Hall of Somerset; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Aliyah, Kaylee and Mason. Mary Raisner, 89, of McKeesport, formerly of Glassport for 76 years, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. She was born March 23, 1929 in Glassport to the late John and Mary Bednar Popovich. Mary was the loving wife of the late Lawrence Raisner who passed away in 1992. She is survived by sisters, Elizabeth Smoot of McKeesport, Anna Stanko of McKeesport, Helen (Thomas Andrews) McBurney of North Huntingdon; special niece, Mary Moonis of North Huntingdon; many other nieces and nephews. Arcolina “Carole” Ann Folino Angotti, 86, of Baldwin, formerly of Clairton, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Lawson’s Personal Care Home in Jefferson Hills. She was born July 31, 1931, in McKeesport, to the late Frank and Mariangela Vescio Folino. She was the loving wife of 40 yrs. to the late Joseph P. Angotti who passed away in 1993. Carole is survived by daughters, Angela (Richard) Jenkins & Paula Gori both of Clairton, Sandra Smaniotto of Uniontown, Debbie (Earl) Kleckner of McMurray; grandchildren, Frankie, Richard, Jennifer, Gina (Jason), Melanie, Angela, E.J., Natalie; great-grandchildren, Dejah, Nikko, Gisele, Anton, Mason, Bella, Tyler, Zander; sister, Grace McGrew of Greensburg and brother, Bernard Folino and many nieces and nephews. Mildred (Millie) (Milka) Besedich Hughes, 100, of Dravosburg passed into eternal rest on June 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born March 24, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio to Jovan and Kata Besedich, the family later moved to the coal mining town (#9) of Farmington, West Virginia. In 1942, she left home to support the war effort working in the Akron Goodyear factory making barrage balloons. She married Elmer Hughes in 1945 and they moved to Dravosburg in 1956.
She owned and operated Hughes Grill for 14 years. She was famous for the Friday fish sandwiches. After selling the business, Millie worked for K-Mart retiring in 1989 after 15 years. Consistent with her love for caring for others, Millie delivered for Meals on Wheels for 20 years until age 92. She was a member of Amity Presbyterian Church for 60 years and served as an elder.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, her parents, her sisters Olga Myers, Mary Chickrell, Malava Blanton, Josephine Flannery, Virginia Davis, Kay Stache, her brothers Drago Besedich and Dan Besedich and her grandson Brian Weddle. She is survived by and was the beloved mother of Ron Hughes, Marcia (Phil) Weddle and Diana (Ron) Etzel; cherished grandmother of Christopher Weddle, Eric (Heidi) Weddle, Jessica Etzel and Allison Etzel; great-grandmother of Philip (Aubree) Brown, Hazel and Ayler Weddle; great-great grandmother of Gavin and Marlie Brown; and loving sister of Helen Lockwood. Millie also leaves behind nieces, nephews, friends and her faithful dog, Buddy.
She loved her family and her home. She loved to cook, bake, garden, crochet and walk her puppies. She was a loyal friend and neighbor.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at I.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th Street, Dravosburg, PA 15034. Ruth Jane Kimball, 54, of Glassport, formerly of Clairton, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at UPMC McKeesport. She was born in McKeesport October 2, 1963 to the late Benjamin & Kathryn Spencer.
