Frederick “Fredster” Robert Kearney Sr., 72, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Clairton / Pleasant Hills, passed away at home on Sunday, May 13, 2018.  He was born March 24, 1946, in Pittsburgh, to the late Frederick S. and Rita Hanczyk Kearney.  He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Cathy Smarra Kearney; children, Sherri (Brian) Peternel of Jefferson Hills, Jacqueline (Craig) Kearney of Glassport, Jessica Gouker of Jefferson Hills, Frederick R. (Nicole) Kearney Jr. of Whitehall; grandchildren, Joelle, Shawn, Cheyanne (Steve), Alyssa, Nathan, Hannah, KayCee; great-grandchildren, Jayden & LayLah.  Fred was a veteran of the US Army having served in the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War, a Cable Technician, a manager for Subway, enjoyed Bingo, Bowling, fishing, camping, Sci-Fi, and Klondikes.  Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 9 am – 12 pm at S. M. Miles Karan, 58, of Clairton, passed away at AHN Jefferson Hospital on Thursday April 19, 2018.  He was born March 28, 1960 in McKeesport to the late Milan and Mary Frick Karan.  Miles is survived by son, Steve Karan; and sister, Linda Marie Brown of West Newton.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Milan and George Karan.  Miles lived in Clairton his whole life, was an independent contractor, and enjoyed socializing with friends.  Visitation will take place Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2 – 4 pm at S. It is with sadness in their hearts that the family of Donald Hickman announces his passing, and entrance into eternal life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was a devoted, caring, and dedicated family man and will be deeply missed by his loved ones.  He was born in Dravosburg on December 4, 1930 to the late Adam and Myra Leadbeater Hickman.  Donald will be greatly missed by his loving wife, of 67 wonderful years, Mary Lou; children, Daniel Hickman, Patty (Gerald) Tedesco, Karen (Bryan) Snodgrass; grandchildren, Gerald (Kristen) Tedesco Jr., Jonathan (Robyn) Tedesco, Jamie (William) Dugas, Kylie Snodgrass, Alyssa Snodgrass, Jacob Snodgrass; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Tristan, Marisa, Dominic and Isabella, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister.  Donald was a lifelong resident of Dravosburg, and a graduate of McKeesport High School.  He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, was retired from US Steel Research Lab in Monroeville in 1984, and owned and operated the distributorship for the McKeesport Daily News and Pittsburgh Press in Dravosburg for 40 years. Don was a devout Christian his entire life, leading many people to understand God’s love for them.  He was an accomplished baseball pitcher for McKeesport High School, many local sandlot teams, and Mitchell Air Force Base.   In 1953, he was offered to try-out for the Pittsburgh Pirates.  The family is especially grateful for the exceptional kindness, concern and care from all of his caregivers, especially Caitlin Sostaric and Alexa Paranzino, his primary caregivers.  Visitation will take place Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1 – 8 pm at I. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th Street, Dravosburg,  PA 15034. Fred August Happe Jr., 76, of Clairton, formerly of Bridgeville, passed away at home on Sunday April 15, 2018.  He was born in Upper St. Clair on May 17, 1941 to the late Fred A. and Mary Happe Sr. Fred is survived by daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Jack) Happe Arelt of Brentwood; son, Fred A. Happe of Tarentum; grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel, Joshua; great-grandchildren, Aleena, D.J., Daevon, Jaylee, Jonathan; brothers, Ronald Happe and Glen Happe both of FL.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by stepson Jody Happe.  Fred was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War, was retired from the maintenance department of US Steel Clairton Works, was adept at electrical repair, and was a self-ordained pastor.  Arrangements have been entrusted to S. Judith Karen Bane Reitzel, 76, of Eighty Four, PA, formerly of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.  She was born November 17, 1941 to the late Robert & Agnes Miller Bane.  She was a loving wife, for 35, years to the late Raymond T. Reitzel Sr. who passed away in 1991.  Judith is survived by daughter; Amanda (Kevin Shetterly) M. Reitzel Clous of Finleyville; sons, Raymond T. Reitzel Jr. of Eighty Four, Thomas L. Reitzel of Bethel Park, Timothy A. Reitzel of Jefferson Hills; grandchildren Michael, Justin, Timmy Jr., Paige, Tommy Jr.; brother, James (Linda) Bane of Peters Township; and sister Agnes Bane of Clairton.  Along with her parents and husband, Judith was preceded in death by daughter, Patricia; brother, Robert Bane; and sister Jerilyn Bane Simo. She was a member of St. Paulinus Church in Clairton, was retired from West Jefferson Hills School District's Custodial Department, enjoyed cooking, gardening and the outdoors. James “Jim” Kenneth Burge, 92, of Clairton passed away at home on Saturday, April 7, 2018.  He was born January 8, 1926, in Clairton, to the late James and Elizabeth Long Burge.  Jim was a loving husband, for 67 years, to his late wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Demis Burge, who passed away in 2015.  He is survived by sons, James (Jane) M. Burge, Paul A. Burge, both of Clairton; daughter Barbara (Mark) A. Murray of Clairton; grandchildren, Mary (Jeff) Trott, Anne (Jerome Ramsey) Burge, Christianna Murray; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jakob, Noah, Ian, and Sofie.  Along with his parents and spouse, Jim was preceded in death by brothers, Adrian “Dutch”, Robert, William; sisters, Esther MacNicol and Edna Lees. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, a graduate of Clairton High School, served his country in the Armed Guard Service of the US Navy during WWII on the Merchant Marine ship The SS Jonathon Worth, enjoyed Clairton High School football, frequenting the coffee shop to socialize, and spending quiet days at home.  Visitation and service will be private at S. Virginia “Jeanie” Dorothy Loomis, 95, of Clairton, formerly of Glassport, passed away at Jefferson Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2018.  She was born September 4, 1922 in McKeesport to the late John and Mary Germek Pavol.  Virginia was the loving wife of the late Leland Russell Loomis for 39 years.  She is survived by her son, Donald R. Loomis and her dog Shadow.  Along with her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by brother, Robert Pavol.  She was a graduate of Glassport High School & Duffs Business School, was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, loved sports, sewing, bingo, ceramics, and was a member of Wilson Civic Association.  Visitation will take place from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 on Monday, April 2, 2018 at S.M. David Hugh Kushner, 68, of Gainesville, GA, formerly of Peters Township and Glassport, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at North East Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.  He was born in Pittsburgh on August 8, 1949 to the late Michael Kushner and Dixie B. Ronk.  David was the loving husband of the late Barbara Haas Kushner who passed away in 2006.  He is survived by his daughters Amy Sue and Dana Lynn, sister, Peggy Ronk of Dawsonville, GA and nieces Liliann Moser and Suezette Dickey.  Arrangements have been entrusted to E. Sparico, 83, of West Mifflin passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday March 14, 2018.  He was born in McKeesport May 5, 1934 to the late John B. and Marie Anna Rera Sparico.  Tony is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia A. Lister Sparico; son, Anthony (Trina) Sparico of Upper St. Clair; daughter, Jannine (Bert) Ackerman of West Homestead; grandchildren, Megan (Alex Gennari) Sparico, Tracy Johnson, Anthony (Amanda) Sparico, Natalie Sparico, Annalee Sparico; great-grandchild, Wyatt Antonio Johnson.  Along with his parents, Tony was preceded in death by daughter, Kristin Sparico; brother, Peter J. Mary Ann Scapellato, 86, of Lower Burrell, formerly of Clairton, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Belair Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lower Burrell.  She was born June 10, 1931, in Clairton, to the late Andrew and Mary Faith Butvin.  Mary Ann was the loving wife of the late Samuel Scapellato.  She is survived by daughters, Rose Mary (Bob) Mozes of Mars, Donna McGivern of Lower Burrell, Denise Salaske (George) of Elizabeth; son, Daniel (Karen) Scapellato of Jefferson; sisters, Theresa (Gary) Thayer of Finleyville, Helen Huss of Lakewood, Pauline (Elmer) Fournier of Elizabeth; brothers, Andy (Sandy) Butvin of Portage, Joe Butvin of Donegal; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Along with her parents and spouse, Mary Ann was preceded in death by daughters, Anna Marie Ellis and Anita Shiner.  Mary Ann resided in Clairton for 81 years, loved crocheting, gardening, artistic painting, word puzzles, sewing and dogs.  Visitation will take place Friday, March 9, 2018 from 5 – 8 pm at S. Mary Esther Kratzenberg, 77, of Dravosburg, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Lawson’s personal care home in Jefferson Hills.  She was born February 17, 1941 in McKeesport to the late Joseph and Marion Koontz Chonko.  Mary was the loving wife of 51 years to the late Joseph A. “Bud” Kratzenberg who passed away in 2008. She is survived by daughters, Sandy Flanagan of West Mifflin, Wendy Curran of Dravosburg, Diane (Ed) Losteter of Jefferson Hills, Lauren (Scott) Seach of Glassport; grandchildren,  Nikki, Joe, Jessi, Sam, Megan, A. Lois F. Sechrist 89, of Somerset and formerly Glassport, PA, died March 1, 2018 at Somerset Hospital.  Born January 20, 1929, in Glassport, she is the daughter of the late James W. and Grace (Oates) Forbes. Also preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Sechrist, and brother, Donald Forbes. She is survived by sons, Bruce David and Denis Craig Sechrist and a daughter, June L. (Sechrist) Weakland. Nephew James Forbes and niece Cheryl (Forbes) Lebada. Grandchildren: Bruce Edward Sechrist of Somerset, Laura Fortenberry  of New Jersey, Skip Weakland of New Jersey and Danielle Kline of Wyoming. Also 7 great grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews. Lois was a graduate of Glassport High School and a member of the First Baptist Church, Glassport and attended the Roof Garden Christian Church, Somerset. She was formerly employed by G. C. Murphy Company and the Copperweld Company in Glassport. She was known for her ready smile, great generosity and her deep faith, showing kindness to everyone that she met. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home in Somerset and from 10 -1pm Monday, March 5, 2018 at E.C. Charles Allen “Red” Barrett, 76, of Glassport passed away at home on Wednesday February 21, 2018.  He was born in Pittsburgh, November 11, 1941 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Packer Barrett.  He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Agnes Rushe Barrett; sons, Chuck (Sheri) A. Barrett of Glassport, Tom (Gina) W. Barrett of Dravosburg; grandchildren, Hannah & Brett; siblings, Richard Barrett of Brookville, PA, William (Wanda) Barrett of Boone, NC, Shirlee Forbes of NC, Beth (Chuck) Coulter of McKeesport, and Ruth Martin of Glassport.  Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by bothers James & Michael Barrett and sister Mary Johnson.  He was employed by General Motor’s Fisher Body Division as a welder, collected coins & toy trains and enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Visitation will take place from 2 – 6 pm Sunday, February 25, 2018 at E.
