Charles Michael Nordine, 72 of Clairton, formerly of the state of California, passed away on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at Manor Care in Bethel Park. He was born April 14, 1945 in Clairton to the late Roy and Mary Pholar Nordine. He is survived by his many nieces and nephews, and his close friends Linda and Clyde “Butch”. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Mary Nordine, his brothers; Roy Nordine, Conrad Nordine, and John Nordine, and sisters Carole Shaffer and Vivian Kerekes. George H. Kessler, 76, of McKeesport, formerly of Lincoln Place, passed away on Thursday, February 15th 2018 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 19, 1941 to the late William R. and Margaret E. Haser Kessler. George is survived by siblings; Robert Kessler of McKeesport, Lauretta Gardner of Lincoln Place, and Edward Kessler of California. “Uncle George” is also survived by his many nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Margaret Kessler, and brother William Kessler. George proudly served in the U.S. Army, was an avid gun enthusiast, and a lover of all animals. Erik James “Egghead” Maselli, 37, of West Elizabeth, formerly of Clairton and Uniontown, where he was a construction contractor, passed away on Friday, January 26th, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh on February, 1st 1980 to James R. Maselli and the late Judith Beckovich Maselli. Erik is survived by his wife, Shawna Fant Maselli. He is also survived by his son, Ashton Maselli of Clairton, daughter, Celina M. Maselli of Clairton, father, James R. Maselli of West Elizabeth, and brothers; James M.(Angela) Maselli, of Ravenna, OH and Shaun J. Maselli of West Elizabeth. Erik was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Beckovich Maselli. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as baseball. Arrangements have been entrusted to S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. Henry “Hank” Merle Knox, 69, of Clairton, formerly of Elliottsville,  PA, passed away at AHN Jefferson Hospital on Thursday, January 18, 2018.  He was born October 5, 1948 in Fayette County to the late George and Rosetta Knox.  Henry was a loving husband for 33 years to the late Yvonne Riggen Knox.  He is survived by daughters; Virginia (Brian) Hilty of Greensburg, Candace Knox of Clairton, Tammy (John) Hayden of McKeesport; brothers; Roger Knox of Uniontown, George “Rusty” (Dee) Knox of Connellsville, Richard Knox of Clairton; sisters Carolyn Pici of McKeesport, Vanessa (Bill) Frost of Uniontown, Lori (Dolly) Knox; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Along with his parents and wife, Henry was preceded in death by son, Henry Merle Knox; daughter, Nora Knox; brothers, Vernon Knox and Mark Knox.  Henry served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, enjoyed car shows, camping, hunting, and socializing with others.  He was a member of the AmVets in Uniontown and the VFW in Hopwood. Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street Clairton,  PA   15025.  A service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 am followed by interment at Round Hill Cemetery with full military honors.

Marian Elizabeth Edmonds Clark, 84, of Swissvale passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside.  She was born April 2, 1933 in New York, NY to the late Eulalion N. Edmonds Holloway.  Marion is survived by daughter, Cassandra C. Wilder of Swissvale; grandchildren, Christina Bostick and Mario Sisson; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her son Mark B. Sisson. Marion was a member of East Liberty Presbyterian & Ebenezer Baptist Churches, was employed by Citipark, MaGee Hospital Family Planning, Dept. of Aging, was a member of Chrispus Attucks Post 30 Ladies Auxiliary, and was VP of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  Arrangements have been entrusted to S. William John "Maddog" Mantz III

William John “Maddog” Mantz III, 70, of Clairton, formerly of Elrama, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.  He was born May 17, 1947 in Pittsburgh to the late William J. Jr. and Thelma Jester Mantz.   William is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sally Clark Mantz; son, Michael Mantz of Finleyville; adopted son, Jesse Ingram of Clairton; daughters, Amy Mantz of Clairton, Jillian (Anthony Vivirto) Mantz of Perryopolis, Melissa Cherok of Donora; grandchildren, Nico, Bella, Trevor, Shaunie, Emily, Natalia, Hunter, Abagael; brothers-in-law, Ronald Clark and Rodney McGlumphy; nephews, Thomas Turnell, William Payne; niece, Melody Whitehouse.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ruthie Jones. William served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972, was the proud owner of a ’79 Harley Super Glide and ’79 Corvette. He loved working, model cars, collecting diecast motorcycles, traveling and socializing.  Family and friends will be received Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4 – 8 pm at S. M. Lisa Marie Bitkowski Snyder, age 51, a lifetime resident of Clairton and Jefferson, passed away on Friday, December 22nd, 2017 at the Jefferson Medical Center A.G.H.N. She was born August 14, 1966 in McKeesport to the late Leonard Bitkowski and Nancy Yojanko Bitkowski. Lisa was the loving wife of 29 years to William H. Snyder. She is survived by her husband William of Clairton, mother Nancy Yojanko Bitkowski of Jefferson Hills, her children; Gabrielle Snyder, Toni Snyder, Thomas Snyder all of Clairton, and Matthew (Nicole) Snyder of Ambridge, grandchild Giavonna Snyder of Clairton, and sisters; Sherrie (Scott) Bash of Jefferson Hills and Pam (Jerry) Angotti of Jefferson Hills. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Bitkowsi and her brother Leonard Bitkowsi Jr. She was a member of the St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton.  Lisa enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker. She will be remembered as a person who deeply loved her family, and a wonderful mother and grandmother. A woman that was the life of the party, strong but with a kind heart, and a fiercely loyal “Momma Bear” is the legacy Lisa leaves behind.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 4-8pm at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. John “Big John” Donald Yonek, 90, of Clairton, formerly of Glassport, passed away at home on Thursday, December 14, 2017. He was born November 18, 1927, in Elizabeth, to the late John Yonek.  He is survived by his partner of 33 years, Elizabeth Mollica Sacco; daughter, Linda Yonek of Gainesville, GA; sons, George (Catherine) Vincent Yonek of Penn Township, Scott Allen Yonek of McDonough, GA; brother, Fritz Yonek of Vancouver, WA; sister, Evelyn Gooch of Glassport; and 5 grandchildren.  John was preceded in death by son, John Yonek and sisters Julie and Marylyn. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII,  was employed as an Iron Worker for US Steel, and enjoyed building model airplanes.  Family and friends will be received Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2 – 6 at E. Nancy June Vincenzini, 68, of West Mifflin passed away at Jefferson Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.  She was born December 15, 1948 in Homestead to the late Pio N. and June Fern Finney Vincenzini.  Nancy is survived by son, Thomas P. Vincenzini of West Mifflin; sister, Kathy L. (George) Pomaibo of West Mifflin; brothers, Charles N. (Mary Ann) Vincenzini of White Oak, Robert L. (Judith)  Vincenzini of Jeannette, Gary H. Vincenzini of West Mifflin; nieces, Michelle (Tim) Taylor of Shaler, Amy (Brian) Hartz of Bristow, VA; nephews, Bill Pomaibo of West Mifflin, Eddie Michael of Vanderbilt, PA.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Shirley (Edward) Matwij.  Nancy lived in the West Mifflin all her life.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, was a sports enthusiast, and a bird/animal watcher.  Arrangements have be entrusted to I. George William Buches

George William Buches, 54, of Jefferson Hills, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh. He was born January 10, 1963 in McKeesport to the late Stephen J. and Helen Pforsich Buches.

George was a son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, neighbor, and friend who was loved very much. He was a gentle soul with a kind heart who grew up the youngest of five brothers and a sister. George did not let any of his challenges stop him, always maintaining his sense of humor, positive attitude, and never lamenting or complaining of his situation.

With the support of his family, particularly his mom, who he loved dearly, he had a full life.

George graduated from Mon Valley High School and was active in the boy scouts where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, an award earned by less than 5% of scouts. He also earned the Ad Altare Dei, Pope Pius XII, and Order of the Arrow Honors while a member of the Boy Scouts.

He was employed by Kmart for many years as well as running his own business, delivering the Daily News, Pittsburgh Press and the Tribune Review.

In his spare time George was an accomplished artist. He drew many portraits of people he knew, including self-portraits as well as many other subjects.

George was an avid coin collector, a huge Star Wars fan and over the years loved his pet dogs Rusty, Opie, Buck, Max, and especially Riley, his last dog.

George is survived by brothers, James (Laurie) Buches of Pittsburgh, David (Susan) Buches of Middletown, DE, Thomas (Dana) Buches of Greensburg and Timothy (Tammie) Buches of Fort Gay, WV. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Buches. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A mass will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton followed by interment at St. Clare Cemetery. Harry “Rich” Richard Stromeyer, 70, of Glassport passed away peacefully Friday, December 8, 2017 at Jefferson Regional Hospital.  He was born February 7, 1947 in Mingo Junction, Ohio to the late Carl and Ruth Bickerstaff Stromeyer.  Rich is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Aileen Elkovitz Stromeyer; sons, Charles & Joseph Stromeyer both of Ohio; daughter Katherine Martin, also of Ohio; stepdaughters, Amber (Dave) Radaker and Brooke Ladisic both of Glassport; grandchildren, Bella, Zach, Jacob; sister, Elsie Petrella of Mingo Junction, OH; many nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Robert Stromeyer; sister, JoAnn Pettibon; and niece Tracy Petrella.  Rich was retired from Forbes Regional Hospital, served in the US Navy for 4 years, was a deck hand on a tugboat, managed the Showboat Lounge in Glassport for 9 years, was a member of the VFW in Steubenville, OH and a member of American Legion Post 380 in Dravosburg.  Family and friends will be received Monday, December 11, 2017 from 4 – 8 pm at E.
