Tina Rae Gumpher, 62 of Elizabeth, formerly of North Versailles, passed away on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, at McKeesport Hospital. She was born in Brookville on June 2nd, 1959, to the late Joseph Sr. and Agnes M. (Marks) Gumpher. She is survived by her sisters Patricia Kristofik of Elizabeth and Theresa Irwin of North Versailles as well as brother James “Mike” Gumpher of Sigel. Additional survivors include sister-in-law Carolyn Gumpher of Elizabeth and cousins Tim and Kathleen Vargo of Uniontown and Dolly Baacke of Monessen. Michael D. Kalkbrenner, 47 of West Newton, formerly of Glassport, passed away on Monday, January 31st, 2022, at Washington Hospital. He was born in McKeesport on February 14th, 1974, to Julius M. and the late Janet (Daugherty) Kalkbrenner. He is survived by his son Larz (Alexandria) Kalkbrenner of Port Vue, his father Julius Kalkbrenner of West Newton, and his granddaughter Emerson. Florence “Flo” Marie (Spencer) Oblak, 60 of Elizabeth, formerly of West Newton, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital. She was born in McKeesport on June 17, 1961, to the late Benjamin Sr. and Kathryn (Vitale) Spencer. Florence was the loving wife of 21 years to Scott A Oblak. She is survived by her husband Scott, daughter Misty L. Jones of Uniontown, son Kenneth W. Mayfield III of West Newton, and stepchildren Estella Lewis of Greensburg, Franklin A. Oblak of Somerset, and Zachary D. Oblak of Arona. Further survivors include her sisters Lauri (David) Ehredt of Boise and Jennifer Spencer of Munhall and brothers Steven (Joy) Poorman of Elizabeth, T.J. Poorman of Glassport, and Paul Poorman of Clairton. She is also survived by grandchildren Owen, Lexus, Elizabeth, Aiden, Sookie, Gage, Salem, Danyel, and Theresa, and many nieces and nephews. Further left to mourn her loss is her beloved chihuahua Maxine. Other survivors include her best friend Stephanie (Rob) Short and her children Taylor and Maxwell, all of Irwin. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Gail Robertson, Brenda Warnick, and Ruth (Mark) Kimball, and brother Benjamin Spencer Jr. She was a generous, caring woman who spent over 25 years assisting adults in need of care at T.L.C. Adult Care Center in West Newton. Flo was also known for being a “red hat lady” at various nursing homes. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending art classes, traveling, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at S.M. Nancy Jean Ginanni, 61 of Clairton, formerly of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital. She was born in McKeesport on October 3, 1960, to Yolanda (Benedetti) Ginanni of Clairton and the late Emo Ginanni. She is survived by her mother Yolanda as well as her sister Janet (James) Cerqua of Clairton. Charles Albert “Chuck” Zwingler III, 66 of West Mifflin, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital. He was born in McKeesport on July 1, 1955, to Lois (Cochran) and the late Charles A. Zwingler Jr. Chuck was the loving husband of 21 years to Luanne (McWilliams) Zwingler. He is survived by his mother Lois Zwingler of Clairton, wife Luanne of West Mifflin, sons Charles IV and John (Alexis) Zwingler of Jacksonville, Florida, stepson Matthew (Suzanne) Hickey of West Mifflin, and stepdaughter Amanda (Michael) Pippi of South Park. It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected death of Ruth “Ruthie” Cochran Ulmer on January 4, 2022 at the age of 90, after a short, hard-fought battle with cancer. Ruth was born September 30, 1931, to the late Edward “Ted” and Ruth V. Coulson Cochran of Coal Valley in Clairton, followed closely by the birth of her devoted sister, Lois Jean, nineteen months later. Ruth was the loving wife of 57 years to William C. Ulmer, whom she lost in 2008. She was pre-deceased by two infant brothers, Charles and William. Left to mourn her passing is her sister, Lois Jean, and her three sons: William E. (Kathleen) of Clairton, Craig L. (Barbara) of Pleasant Hills, and Kevin T. (Ginger) of Greenock. She leaves behind seven grandchildren to cherish her memory: William M. (Andrea Pomarico), Christopher L. (Roy Gloeckl), Ted (Danielle), Bennett (Andrew) Ulmer and Meghan (Vince) Grabe, Jillian (Ed) Cerilli and Hannah (Ryan) Glaser. Ruth was blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Reagan Kathleen, Zoe Barbara, Aaron Anthony, Taylor Anne, Maximo Thomas, Rocky Ace, Olive Reign, and (expected) Cole Lewis. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, whom she loved. She was a proud 1949 graduate of Clairton High School, a lifelong member of Pine Run United Methodist Church and was active in its Vacation Bible School, United Methodist Women’s group as well as one of the kitchen ladies. A longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Amaranth lodges, she developed and maintained close friendships wherever she went. Ruth retired after 24 years of service with U.S. Steel at its Clairton plant and was then able to take several memorable trips throughout the U.S. with her and Bill’s close friends, Ed and Lois Basch, George and Audrey Porter and her sister and brother-in-law, Chuck and Lois Zwingler. She and Bill proudly flew the Grand Squares square-dancing flag on their car for decades, and Bill made tapes of the more difficult “calls” for them to practice. A strong athlete far into her retirement, she remained active until recently with walks around the neighborhood with local friends, and even bowled a 200 game with her Monday morning ladies’ bowling league as recently as 2019. She was a dedicated fan of the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. She cultivated long friendships with those from the AARP Wilson Chapter #1612, her “49’ers” high school luncheon crowd and a large circle of friends, staying in touch with daily or weekly phone calls- and she knew everyone’s phone number from memory. She was a hard-working woman of strength, determination, and faith, and has now joined Bill and her loved ones in Heaven. Unfortunately, her recipe for her Berry Roll goes with her. John Charles Bumba, 56 of North Versailles, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at UPMC East. He was born in Braddock on December 30, 1965, to the late Dennis Sr. and Pearl Remias Bumba. John was the loving partner of over 25 years to the late April Cincarik. He is survived by sisters Priscilla (Bob) Burdelski and Lisa (Bobby) Crispens, as well as his brother Dennis (Melissa) Bumba, Jr., as well as nephews Michael Otterson Jr. and Trevor Williams and nieces Elayna Burdelski, Krystyna Burdelski, and Madelyn Bumba. John was also “Pap” to April’s children and grandchildren, whom he helped to raise. He worked in the customer service quality administration department of the Kurt J. Lesker Company in Clairton. John was a member of the Latrobe Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) and will be remembered for making everyone laugh during H.O.G. meetings and trips. He enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his family, and helping to organize the annual Western PA Pittsburgh Toy Run. April Marie “Hey” Robbins Cincarik, 64 of North Versailles, formerly of Turtle Creek and Glassport, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at her home. She was born in McKeesport on July 15th, 1957, to the late Eugene Emerson Robbins and Marion Elizabeth Gibson. April was the loving partner to the late John C. Bumba. She is survived by her daughters Deana Ridge of Butler and Darci Cincarik (Paul Sachs) of Penn Hills, and her son Daniel (Lindsey) Cincarik of Brackenridge, as well as her sister Eileen (Joseph) LaCivita of East McKeesport. Further survivors include her grandchildren Lauryn, Alex, Riley, Bellanowa, Cassandra and Dylan, her great-grandson Tyler, and many nieces and nephews. April was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Mark D. Ridge. She attended the First Baptist Church in Monroeville and worked in the Computer System Security division of Westinghouse. Andrew Lawrence “Peach” Petrik, 71 of Glassport, passed away on Saturday, January 1st, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital. He was born in McKeesport on November 30th, 1950, to the late Frank and Pauline Ihnat Petrik. Andrew was the loving husband of 42 years to Denise V. Petrik. Ralph Edwin “Ralphie” Falk, 77 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at his home. He was born in McKeesport on December 31, 1943, to the late Jack and Mary Jane Nacey Falk. Ralph was the loving husband of 55 years to Donna L. D’Antonio Falk. He is survived by his wife Donna as well as his children Tracy L. Williams of Pleasant Hills, Ryan C. (Johnetta) Falk of Pleasant Hills, and Kevin A. (Christina) Falk of Jefferson Hills. Additional survivors include his brothers Tom (Patty) Falk of Pleasant Hills and Michael Falk of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He is further survived by his grandchildren Skylar, Kevin Jr., Asher, Jordan, Makayla, Shaylor, Collin, and Cassidy, and great-grandchildren Evelyn, Ashton, Bryson, as well as an expected great-grandchild Miles. He is additionally survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jack, James, and Mary Jane Falk. He was a member of the Army, as well as an auto worker of 35 years for General Motors. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 75 in Clairton, a former member of the VFW, as well as an original member of the oldies musical group The Holidays. Ralph was also a member of the former St. Clare of Assisi/Thomas A’Becket Church, now known as the Triumph of the Holy Cross. Later in life, he found joy in being a bus driver for the West Jefferson Hills School District. He enjoyed playing golf, watching old TV shows, watching sports avidly, and listening to the Candy and Mike radio show. Ralph was also known for being the owner of St. Clair Coffee Shop where he served both coffee and beer with a smile. Santeaun Nicholas “Sant” Sims, 26 of Forest Hills, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 16, 1995, in Pittsburgh to Claude S. and Michele R. Sims of McKeesport. Sant is survived by his brothers Xavier (Jasmine) Means of Clairton, C.J. Sims of McKeesport, and Diego Sims of McKeesport. He is further survived by sisters Courtney Sims of Clarksburg, Maryland, Claudia Sims of McKeesport, Lennox (Garrett) King of Greenbelt, Maryland, and his twin Hunter (Kim) Jones-Sims of Forest Hills. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Dolores Sledge and Calvin and Violet Sims and aunts Valerie Pavlick-Gnazzo and Adrianne Miller. Further survivors include many nieces and nephews, by whom he will be greatly missed. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Iyannah Grant and her daughter Isla. Santeaun was preceded in death by his sister BreAnne as well as his grandparents Delbert and Edith Pavlick. He was a member of the Union Carpenters Local 432. He owned Sant Sims Contracting and worked as a carpenter, where he filled the role of the handyman who could do anything. He enjoyed playing flag football, poker, Playstation, cornhole, and participating in all types of athletics, including but not limited to baseball, basketball, diving, swimming, and track. As a 2013 graduate of Clairton High School, he leaves behind many close friends, teammates, and family members. Eugene David “Bear Claw” “Batman” Nehila, Sr., 63 of Clairton, formerly of Glassport, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Jefferson Hospital. He was born in McKeesport on July 18, 1958, to the late Joseph Nehila and Virginia L. Coddington Plesniak. Eugene was the loving partner of 49 years to Florence R. Rocco Nehila, to whom he was happily married for 39 years. He is survived by his wife as well as their children Eugene “Beanie” D. (Kim) Nehila, Jr. of Glassport, Eugenia M. McCartney of Clairton, and David A. (Cindy) Nehila of Clairton. He is further survived by his brothers Stephen A. Nehila of Glassport and Joseph (Virginia) Nehila of Glassport, as well as 2 half-brothers, Richard Coddington of Butler and Edward (Tara) Plesniak of Pymatuning. Further survivors include his 14 grandchildren Evin, Atticus “Little Pumpkin”, Destiny, David Jr., Dallis, Bella, Richard, Autumn, Dakota, Jacy, Hunter, Toby, Landon, and Junior, as well as his nieces, nephews, and lots of cousins. Additional survivors include his furbabies Skye, Everest, and Christmas. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents as well as his grandson Devin Nehila. Eugene worked for Nickolich Sanitation for 14 years, and for 2 years as a truck driver for County Hauling Sanitation in Belle Vernon. Eugene also worked as an Animal Control Officer for the Who Rescued Who Humane Society in Clairton. He was a lifetime firefighter for Citizens’ Hose Company #1 Volunteer Fire Department in Glassport, and was also a firefighter for the Clairton Volunteer Fire Department, Station 123. He loved spending time with his wife, with whom he enjoyed flea markets, weekend breakfasts and going to Drag Queen Bingo, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. Family and close friends will be received on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 2-6 p.m. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will take place at 6 p.m. directly following the visitation at the funeral home to be presided by Rev. Michael Airgood. A Fireman’s service will also take place at the funeral home.
