Pauline Derhofer Nagy, 94, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was born April 17, 1927 in Duquesne, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Sveda) Lashkevich. Prior to her retirement, Pauline was a secretary for CCAC, a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and AARP North Huntingdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Derhofer and second husband, Albert Nagy; son, Richard A. Derhofer; and sister, Mae Anischenko. She is survived by her daughter, Carol A. DeFelice and her husband, Louis; brothers, Philip and Paul Anischenko; and granddaughter, Angela DeFelice. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. Margot Elisabeth (Giera) Weber

Margot Elisabeth (Giera) Weber, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born March 12, 1934 in Schuesselndorf, Germany, a daughter of the late Herbert Kurt and Elizabeth Maria Giera.
Margot spent her life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. After they fled communist East Germany, she, her husband, and her children eventually settled in the south hills of Pittsburgh. She was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed spending time with her family and dogs. Margot also spent time working in a laundromat in Mt. Washington. In the final years of her life, she resided in North Huntingdon and was surrounded by adoring neighbors. Margot will be remembered for her love of her family, her strength and resiliency, her home-cooked meals, and for always sending sweet treats home with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rolf Herbert Weber; sons, Helmut, Juergen and Stephan Weber; and daughter, Marion Weber. She is survived by her grandchildren, Christopher Weber and Catherine Weber; and nephew, Karl Heinz Goettner. There will be no visitation. Betty J. Welsch, 90, of East McKeesport, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Brookdale Sr. Living Center.  She was born, June 19, 1931 in East McKeesport, daughter of the late Sam and Allene (Small) Tietze.  Betty was a member of Circleville United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Braun P. Welsch on August 18, 2021; son, Dale; son-in-law, Lee Anson; and sistes, Lois Silianoff.  She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Anson; daughter-in-law, Roberta Welsch; granddaughter, Kristen (Scott); one great grandchild, Tyler; and nephew, Barry Welsch and sister Carolyn Evans. There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements made by the James W. Neil R. Murray, 83 of North Huntingdon died November 27, 2021 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born February 4, 1938 in Connellsville, a son of the late Eugene and Betty Ohler Murray. Prior to his retirement Neil was employed by U.S. Steel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, enjoyed gardening, country music, biking and had an extensive movie collection. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence in 1998, one brother Ron Murray, two sisters, Thelma Ashcroft and Patricia Scott. He is survived by two sons, Ronald Murray and Raymond Murray (Danielle), one daughter, Elizabeth Thompson (Charles), one sister, Judy Viboch, 5 grandchildren, Tiffany Whitaker (Jeremiah), Michael Thompson, Ashley Thompson, Shayann Murray, Hailey Murray, one great grandchild, William Whitaker. Frank Henry Carney, 80, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his home.  He was born, February 3, 1941 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Walter and Lillian E. (Hawley) Carney.  Prior to his retirement, Frank worked for Mesta Machine Co., was the owner and operator of Frank Carney Construction and a veteran of the US Navy.  He was a graduate of Turtle Creek Sr. High School Class of 1959, life member of Hartford Heights VFD, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and loved his furry friend, Fergie.  In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Gigglio.  He is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Schmidt) Carney; son, Frank W. Carney; daughter, Tonya Tucker; sisters, Carol (Arnie) Levine, Bobbie Pomykayla, Darlene Loeffler; grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Nathan, Natasha, Mikaela; and six great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the James W. Mildred J. Pastor (Potoma), of Penn Township, PA, formerly of Irwin and McKeesport, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Forbes Hospital on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, when God decided it was time for the sweetest woman on earth to bring her light to heaven. Born November 26, 1935, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Brendza) Potoma. A retired Messenger Escort for McKeesport Hospital, and a member of the Teamsters Union 205, she was a parishioner of St. Agnes Parish where she celebrated her strong faith in God. “Millie” was an avid reader, loved playing cards, watching her game shows, especially Jeopardy, where she rarely missed a question, going to the casino, and above all spending time with her family. Prior to his death, she and her husband enjoyed spending time at their camp in Tionesta, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Ronald J Pastor, who passed away on March 23, 2020, and her 3 older sisters: Mary Mayernik, Helen Crammer, and Irene Casper. She will be dearly missed by her children; sons Robert (Kathy) Pastor, and Daniel (Lisa) Pastor, and daughters, Rhonda (Patrick) Quinlan, Marianne (Tom) Simko, and Sherry (Kevin) Kozlowski. Grandchildren, Emily, Josh, Joseph, Anthony, Christine, Jennifer, Tommy, Drake, Grant, Michael, and Steven, and 11 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Jack (Evelyn) Pastor, nieces, and nephews. Matibe, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Hempfield Manor.  She was born October 8, 1938 in Braddock, daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Krivansky) Cupak.  Prior to her retirement, Rosemary was a licensed practical nurse for Caritas Christi - Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill and a member of Paintertown Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano and volunteering at her church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Richard and Jeffrey Matibe.  She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Jakob Jude Moffatt, born on February 15th, 2001, passed away at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh on November 14th, 2021. He was the loving son of Lisa and Lee Moffatt. He was the beloved older brother of Zachary, Zaria, and Gemma Moffatt. The precious grandson of Virginia and Michael Moritz and Patricia and the late Jere Moffatt. Jakob was born with the rare genetic disorder, Pfeiffer Syndrome Type 2. He attended the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children for 17 years. While there, Jakob spent time with several of his friends and participated in many events which were highlighted by the annual Christmas musical. When not at school, Jakob would often be found sitting in his wheelchair in the kitchen or living room with his family watching his all-time favorite show, SpongeBob, or some of his other favorites like Dance Moms, Mr. Beast YouTube videos, and Arthur. If he wasn’t watching TV, he was walking his dog, Lucy, swimming in his pool, listening to music, playing with his favorite squishy toys, or attending one of his siblings’ sporting events. Jakob loved his frequent trips to amusement parks especially Hersheypark, Kennywood, and Disney World. Jakob was able to live such a full life in large part due to his many doctors, home care nurses, school staff, his longtime bus driver, Claudia, and lifelong pediatrician, Dr. Christine Patti. Jakob will be remembered for his big smile which could always be seen on his face throughout the number of challenges and hardships he came across. He made any room he was in a happier one.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
