Dr. George Constantine Sotereanos, DDS, born September 12, 1930 and died November 18, 2023, was the third son of Greek immigrants Constantine and Marcella Sotereanos, originally from Vrontados, Isle of Chios. He leaves behind a rich legacy, including three children: Constantine Sotereanos, MD, Nicholas Sotereanos, MD, and Anastasia Sotereanos, BS, as well as six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Born in McKeesport, PA, George's journey began at age seven, when he started working as a grocery boy, contributing to his family's livelihood. He excelled academically, graduating top of his class from McKeesport High School, where he was later honored in their Hall of Fame. George's relentless work ethic continued through his years at the University of Pittsburgh. While working full-time night shifts at the National Tube steel mill, he earned his BS in Chemistry in just three years, again finishing first in his class. His pursuit of excellence led him to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry. Balancing full-time work at Koppers lab as a chemist, he graduated at the top of his class, followed by a residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at West Penn and Allegheny General Hospital.

Mary Jane Chemsak, age 89, of McKeesport, died November 1, 2023, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born April 29, 1934, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Rasco) Chemsak. Mary Jane was a member and cantor at Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, the McKeesport Garden Club, and volunteered at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She enjoyed needlework, crafting, reading, building full size doll houses, and playing piano. Mary Jane loved to travel the world and had even taken flying lessons. She was an avid football and golf fan and played golf for many years.

Pasquale A. “Pat” Ciccone, age 70, of North Huntingdon, PA, died October 30, 2023 at home. He was the beloved husband of Lynn (Schultise) Ciccone for 41 years. Pat worked for The PA Turnpike Commission, Harrison City Maintenance for 25 years and retired in July 2018. He worked for the City of Pittsburgh for 25 years and was an usher at the Civic Arena for many years. After retirement, he enjoyed his part-time job as a driver for Shorkey Auto Group which fed his love of vehicles. Pat had memberships with the Crowfoot Sportmen’s Club, Harley Owners Group, Corvette Club, Italian Sons & Daughters of America, and the National Rifle Association. Pat was also a volunteer for many years with the Pittsburgh Grand Prix. Pat enjoyed cooking, shooting, driving his Harley and Corvettes, doing projects around the house and was a big supporter of all the Pittsburgh Sports teams.
