Daniel S. Vrabel, age 70, of Elizabeth Twp., died November 9, 2021. Born September 15, 1951, in Clairton, PA, he was the son of the late Albert J. and  Ann Carole (Humenik) Vrabel and the husband of Sally (Evans) Kail.
Daniel was a graduate of Clairton High School, received his Bachelor's Degree from Duquesne University, and a Master's Degree in Education from Tennessee State. He was a Radiologic Engineer for Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. He also worked as a Russian translator and was an accomplished guitarist. Once retired, he and Sally moved to Tennessee where spent his free time playing tennis for a league, and was known for having a high amateur rating. Daniel also enjoyed golfing and spending time with friends, family and beloved dog Rosie.
Daniel is survived by his siblings, Victor, Vivian, Carole, Therese, Albert, Valerie, Paul,Celeste, Clare; and many nieces, nephews, including Derek Vrabel, a nephew with whom Daniel was very close.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was also preceded in death by his brother, Tim Vrabel.

August Gabris, age 94, of McKeesport, died October 29, 2021, at Sycamore Estates.  Born March 7, 1927, in Snowden, he was the son of the late Joseph and Stella (McMillen) Gabris.  
August retired from U.S. Steel and also had a side business in roofing, siding, and painting.
August is survived by a son, Gary (Sheila Wallace) Gabris.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Feltz.

James P. Kilroy, age 62, of Duquesne, formerly of McKeesport, died November 4, 2021, at Washington Hospital.  Born May 27, 1959, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Jack Kilroy and raised by his mother and loving stepfather Alfred and Louise (Gallagher) Belpuliti.
James enjoyed oil painting, playing the drums, and cooking.
He is survived by children, Nicole Sirvent and Lacey; Grandchildren Jayden Sirvent, and Landen Ballard, siblings, Donnie (Louann) White, of AZ, Linda (Bill) Schneider, of SC, Kathy (Butch) Toth, of McKeesport, Peggy (Arthur) Williams, of McKeesport, Jackie (Carl) Benko, of Liberty Borough, and Lamont (Courtney) Belpuliti, of Glassport and many nieces and nephews. Joyce Irene Philipp, age 53, of Harrisburg, died October 27, 2021, at Ortenzio Heart Center, of Camp Hill, PA. Born September 28, 1968, in Jeannette, she was the daughter of the late Edward Otto and Alice Marie (Harvey) Philipp.
Joyce was an in-home caregiver before her disability would no longer allow her to do so. She enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes on her Facebook page. Joyce found her true happiness in spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ashley Marie Philipp and April Nicole Brown of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Edward and Ember Rose; sisters, Julie (Bryan) Inks of Somerset, and Donna (Jason) Weighley of Pittsburgh; also nieces and nephews.

Lauro Knight

Lauro Knight, age 91, of  McKeesport, PA, died October 30, 2021. Born February 28, 1930, in Cedar Springs, AL, he was the son of the late Richard and Katherine (Shorter) Knight and the husband of the late Azzie (Jackson) Knight.
Lauro was retired from the City of Pittsburgh, where he worked in the Sanitation department. He was a member of Union #178 Public Works. He spent his free time watching football and other sports. Lauro also enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, and watching old westerns.
Lauro is survived by sons, Ulysses Knight, Earl Knight, and "Eddie" James Knight; daughters, Donna Knight, Vivian (Paul) Ball, Vivin Mills, Katherine Parr, and Dorothy Knight; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, brother, Richard Knight; also many nieces and nephews; and long time friend, Dorothy Cornish.

William L. "Woody" Woodworth

William L. “Woody” Woodworth, age 74, of McKeesport, died October 31, 2021, at home. Born January 9, 1947, in McKeesport, Woody was a son of the late Lawrence and Louise (Kugler) Woodworth-Hickman. Woody retired as an electrician with 20 years of employment at the Westinghouse Atomic Plant.  He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine and was a member of White Oak American Legion, Post #701. An enthusiast of 1950’s movies and all Westerns, he also enjoyed Pittsburgh Doo Wop concerts, watching all Pittsburgh sports teams, and building model vehicles. Woody loved his pets and animals of all kinds. The most important thing to Woody was the time he got to spend with his grandchildren and his weekly visits with his sister.

Stanley T. Mitchell

Stanley T. Mitchell, age 69, of McKeesport, died October 27, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born May 25, 1952, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Howard and Valerie (Mitchell) Mitchell and the husband of Renea (Naylor) Mitchell.

Stanley was a fun-loving family man. He enjoyed his free time spent fishing and watching baseball and basketball. He was also an avid Steeler's fan. Stanley served in the Marines during the Vietnam War.

Stanley is survived by his sons; Stanley D. Mitchell, Shelbe Mitchell, Jeremie Mitchell, Dane Mitchell, Lavelle Mitchell, and daughter; Jazmine Mitchell.  He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Along with his children and grandchildren, Stanley is survived by brothers; Howard Mitchell, Bertrum Mitchell, and Clyde Mitchell, and sisters; Etta Bull, Gail Mitchell, and Denise McCoy.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter; Natasha Demery, sister; Pamela Mitchell, and brother; Clifford Mitchell.

Harry Herbert Howard

Harry Herbert Howard, age 85 of Glassport, died October 30, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born September 13, 1936, in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur Leroy and Ruth Louise (Geisler) Howard.

Harry retired as a truck driver after many years, then went back to work for Goodwill Industries. He was a United States Air Force veteran during peacetime. Harry was an artist, enjoying woodworking, creating clocks, sculptures, and gifts for his family. He was a loving, kind-hearted man who would do anything for anyone.

Harry is survived by his children, Patti (Eric) McGauley, Frank (Christina) Howard, Robert (Debra) Howard, Dennis Howard, and Ronald Howard; step-children, Tammy Mason, Tina Sullivan and Patricia Rice; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; partner, Donna Dewalt; former wife, Kathy Howard; sister-in-law, Joy Howard, and nephew, Shaun Howard.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brother Arthur and third wife, Sandy Howard.

George W. Will

George W. Will, age 89, of Gibsonia, formerly of Elizabeth Twp., died October 28, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.  Born June 7, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William and Christine Will.  George served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War.  He worked for the Plain Grove Sand & Gravel Company, where he was a Weigh Master.  He was a lifetime member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of McKeesport, an avid fisherman, a birdwatcher, and also was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for 25 years. George is survived by a daughter, Melissa Dunn; cousins Dorothy Phillips, Norma Puckey, Vaughn Puckey, Jean Pope, George Will, and David Will. He was also preceded in death by an aunt, Christine (Gertrude) Will.  A memorial service will be held at Evangelical Congregational Church in McKeesport on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11 a.m.  Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com. Denise A. Zeman

Denise A. Zeman, age 70, of North Huntingdon, died October 12, 2021.  Born August 19, 1951, in Elizabeth, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae Eger and the wife of the late Wayne Zeman.  
Denise was a 1969 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and then would attend Waynesburg University.  After college, she would further her education at the McKeesport Hospital Radiology School and worked at the hospital as a Radiology Technician for 25 years until her retirement.  She always enjoyed going to dinner and karaoke.  Even though she never sang at karaoke, she laughed and had a great time watching her friends sing.  Denise was a member of the former McKeesport Turners, a social member of the White Oak American Legion, and the Versailles Croatian Club.  She is survived by her companion Fred Ringel; good friend Norma Shand and many close friends.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at Long Run Cemetery.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.  Charles Danforth, Supervisor.

Jonathan Singer, age 45, of Liberty Borough, formerly of Clairton, died December 15, 2020, at The Grove at Irwin. Born December 12, 1975, in Clairton, he was the son of Robert and Joan (Hinkel) Singer.
Jonathan was faced with many challenges throughout his life. Allthough he was faced with these challenges, he learned to express love and happiness. He had a charming and infectious smile, anyone that knew him loved him. Jonathan had a passion for trucks, cars, motorcycles, and anything loud. His greatest joy was taking day trips to Round Hill Park and Exhibit Farm with his family.

Renee E. Ilgenfritz, age 49, of McKeesport, formally of Liberty Boro, died October 13, 2021, at Kane Regional Center. Born July 27, 1972, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Idabelle (Wright) Ilgenfritz.
Renee worked for the Kennywood Amusement Park for several years and volunteered for the Salvation Army. She was a member of Liberty Presbyterian and was a former member of the Church of the Good Samaritan in Liberty Boro.
Renee is survived by her brother, Ron Ilgenfritz, and his partner, Tracy Karlowsky, and nieces, Roberta and Ashley Ilgenfritz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Norma Jean Wright.

Sandra Sue Maitland, age 73, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born November 1, 1947, in Ambridge, PA, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marjorie L. (Newell) Salonus and the wife of the late James E. Maitland.
Sandra retired as an LPN. She was a practicing Jehovah's Witness. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, reading, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her son, Richard Basinger; grandchildren, David, Daniel, Sayge, Faith, Emily, Alexis, and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Harrison; siblings; Mary Ellen Rockwell, of Cranberry, and William Salonus, Jr., of Wisconsin.

Debra Ann Kiser, age 61, of Liberty Borough, died October 8, 2021, at UPMC Montefiore. She was born February 6, 1960, in Smyrna, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Thelma (Murray) Ashcroft. Debra is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Donald "Kip" Kiser.
Debra was always busy, from her time as a CNA at Jefferson Hospital to running her parent's card shop in Holiday, Florida. She also spent a lot of time working in the service industry. On Debra's off time, she enjoyed soaking up the sun at Honeymoon Island, Florida, going to see the ocean and manatees at Cocoa Beach, Florida, and the trip to New York to see the butterfly exhibit.
In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her siblings; Eugene Ashcroft, Angie (Ashcroft), and Robert Ashcroft.

Dorothy loved riding motorcycles with her late husband.  They each had their own and enjoyed rides together, taking in the scenery.
