Born November 28, 1956, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Rose Marie (Kelly) Stash and the wife of Bill Hawthorne, of West Newton. Joanna dedicated her life to caring for her family. In addition to her husband, Joanna is survived by her children, Joanna May Polisena of Cleveland, OH and Jeremy Scott Lewis of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Edward “Willy” and Channing Polisena both of Cleveland, OH, Rodryck H. Drapeau of Ontario, Canada and Ashley N. Carman; siblings, Edward W. (Pat) Stash of McKeesport, Andrew Jackson Coulter of Murrysville, Rose Mary Wernt of Erie and Anna Desroche of Vidor, TX. She was also preceded in death by her son, Edward William Carman.
