Wayne Ernest Bostak, age 75, of Winter Park, Florida, passed away on August 24, 2022. He was born on September 12, 1946 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania the son of Ernest Otto Bostak and Virginia White.
Wayne was a letter carrier in Altamonte Springs, FL for 33 years. He was a proud US Army veteran. He was also an avid sports fan; particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates; and he loved to watch his granddaughters play softball. His was a life well-lived for his God and his country.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann (Simmons) Bostak; sons Brian (Emily) Bostak, and Chad Bostak; grandchildren Madison, Meagan, and Joshua Bostak; and sister Ginny (Paul) Novak.

Dolores Hepler, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Concordia of Fox Chapel, Cheswick. She was born October 8, 1938 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late John and Ruth (Staley) Cantella. Prior to her retirement, Dolores was a secretary for Mars Area Middlesex Elementary School and she loved her students. She enjoyed camping, dancing, playing cards and baking cookies and was known as "the cookie lady". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Wendy Hanlon. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Hepler; son, Jeffrey and his wife, Dawn; daughter, Barbara Blake; brothers, John (Adrienne) Cantella and Mike Cantella; grandchildren, Justin (Shannon) Blake, Steven Blake, Nikolas Hennig; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Janison John Tognarine, age 83, of Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital. An Army veteran, he retired as a warehouse foreman for Marraccini Supermarket in Elizabeth. He was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. and the West Newton Senior Citizens. Born November 14, 1938 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Joseph and Julia (Sonetta) Tognarini. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen R. Clifford E. Loehr, age 88, formerly of Forward Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 in Atria Senior Living of South Hills. He was a retired chemical engineer at PPG Industries in Barberton, OH and he and his wife were the founding members of the Mon Valley Cloggers. Born March 9, 1934 in Somers, IA, he was a son of the late Clifford J. Loehr and Neva (Morris) King and husband of the late Patricia (Barlow) Loehr. He is survived by four children, Deborah (Donald Rudat) Morgan of Forward Township, Mark (Maureen) Loehr of Boiling Springs, SC, Andrea (Jeff) Hudson of Akron, OH and Lesa (William) DeMarrais of Forward Township; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; sister, LaDonna Rugg of Iowa. Gregory Michael Firda, 61 of Elizabeth Township, formerly of Lincoln Borough, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 now at rest after a great fight with cancer. He was born on March 10, 1961 in McKeesport. He was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish-St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township and was a 1979 graduate of St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Pleasant Hills. To many Greg was a true walking angel, and now will continue to be our angel in heaven to be reunited with his loving parents John Firda, and Agnes Bernadette (Behun) Firda. Evelyn "Effie" (Batinich) Liptak, age 92 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Born March 20, 1930 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Mary (Nikolic) Batinich. The former co-owner/proprietor of Marion's Tavern on Route 51 in Jefferson Hills. a family business for over 50 years. Effie was an active member of the Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Thomas A Becket Church in Jefferson Hills and its Ladies of Charity. She was also an active member of the Croatian Fraternal Union St. George Lodge #248 and was extemely proud of her Croatian heritage. She served as a member of the Lodge Board of Trustees, as well as a delegate to the National CFU conventions. Effie enjoyed getting together with her "Church Ladies" friend group that often got together for breakfast. She was an excellent cook and an even better baker. Her family will remember her as extremely generous in all aspects of her life., She adored her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She loved big, shared big, gave big, cooked big, and lived a big full life with a matching big personality. And that is why she leaves such a big hole in their hearts. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George J. Liptak, who passed away January 5 2006, and her siblings Thomas Batinich, Carol Batinich and Anna Mae Majernik. Effie is survived by her children Renee (Roger) Vonada of Carnegie and George (Susan) Liptak of Upper St. Clair; her grandchildren Andrew and Morgan Vonada and Nathan, Rachel, and Michael Liptak; her siblings Marion Lokmer of Chargrin Falls, OH, Joan Atkinson of Jefferson Hills, PA and Frances Smith of Kennebunk, ME; and also many beloved nieces and nephews.
