Lois (Dandoy) Covelli, age 85, of Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was a retired registered nurse at Jefferson Hospital and a graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Nursing as well as Mary Mount Manhattan College in New York City. She was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Elrama where she was a eucharistic minister and lector. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Born March 15, 1935 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Emile M. and Theresa (Rich) Dandoy. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Anthony Covelli, as well as her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marian Gemmell and Lillian Dandoy. Thomas Bushik, 84, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Select Specialty Care, McKeesport. He was born December 29, 1935 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Thomas and Leona Bushik. Prior to his retirement, Tom was an electrical engineer for Siemens, Auburn and Associates and retired from Comstock Engineering. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and scratching off lottery tickets. Tom was an all-around handyman and loved all of his grandchildren.

LaVerne Marie Milner, 98, of Richmond, VA, formerly of Irwin, peacefully transitioned to Heaven on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. She was born January 12, 1922 to Arthur and Bessie McWilliams of Turtle Creek.
After completing high school in Wilmerding, LaVerne was employed as a secretary by Westinghouse Air Brake in their general office. Later in life, she volunteered at Greensburg Hospital, taking newborn baby pictures and was then employed as a salesclerk in the gift shop.
LaVerne was a loving mother and wonderful caregiver to family, friends, and neighbors. She greatly valued family time whether it was welcoming them to her home in Irwin, taking yearly beach trips to the Outer Banks, or celebrating special events such as birthdays and weddings. LaVerne was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Irwin and was guided by her faith to care for others.

A most strong and courageous woman who never complained about anything, “Ron” or “Roni” was a longtime cancer survivor who also endured many years with Alzheimer's disease.
Wife of 70 years to the late Alfred J. "Ike" Huwalt, Jr. Cherished mother of Patrice H. Bennett, Mark A. Huwalt, Lynne M. (Michael) Mercilliott, and Lisa H. (Jeff) Lampo. Adored grandmother of Ian (Bridget O'Neil) Bennett, Mark (Elaine) Bennett, Sean (Stephanie) Mercilliott, Kevin Mercilliott, Matthew Atwood, Jesse Huwalt, Brenden Lampo; and great-grandmother of Elizabeth, Helena, and Patrick Bennett. Loving sister of Dolores Burgman; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Veronica was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Ike" J. Huwalt, Jr., in January of 2020, daughter in-law, Lynn A. Huwalt, parents, Joshua Samuel "Sam" and Mary Leschak Pearson, and her brother, Samuel Pearson.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, David H. Robb; daughters, Emily Robb of Elizabeth and Julie (Edward) Halt of Elizabeth; granddaughters, Arabella and Alisha Halt; sister, Kim Lantz of Belle Vernon; brother, Daryl (Dana) Miller of Monongahela; also nieces and nephews.

Deborah Baxley, 67, of McKeesport died May 13, 2020. She is the daughter of the late Alfred and Edith (Hill) Kremer and beloved wife of the late Joseph Baxley. Born February 26, 1995 in Monroeville, he is a son of Mark and Carol (Natale) Kisan with whom he resided. A 2013 graduate of Norwin High School and also of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Alex worked as a lab technician at Bettis Labs in West Mifflin and was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish and the CFU Lodge 146 of Versailles. Besides his parents, he is survived by his stepsister Danielle McCartan of Plum Borough; his girlfriend Molly Stuvek of Carmichaels; his paternal grandparents Nick and Mary Kisan; and also aunts, uncles, and cousins. Alex was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Daniel and Irene Natale.
