Esther J. (Gonzales) Micklo, 73, of McKeesport, died Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Kane Community Living Center, McKeesport. She was born March 1, 1946 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mollie (Weiss) Gonzales. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Joseph Gonzales and sisters Rosalie Hansen and Miriam Diggs. She is survived by brothers David Gonzales, Howard Gonzales, Albert Gonzales, and Carl Gonzales and sisters Sylvia Hannen, Doris Amatuzzi, Rachel Conrad, and Linda Micklo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Iona G. Diamond, 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. She was born May 15, 1930 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Orie (Davis) Bowman. Iona was a member of St. Agnes Parish and AARP 3221 N. Huntingdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Diamond; brother, Frank Bender; sisters, June Bennett and Hazel Wood. She is survived by her children, Patricia Peripanos and her husband, Gus, James Diamond and his wife, Betty, Judy Pozzuto, Richard Diamond and his wife, Chris; sister, Velma Mimnaugh; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, McKeesport. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Martin W. Sudzina, age 68. He passed peacefully on December 3, 2019. Our family has found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support and prayers we have received from all. They have been heard and appreciated.
Marty was born on November 10, 1951 to the late Edward and Helen (Kovacs) Sudzina.
He is survived by his son, Gregory J. Sudzina, and sisters, Debra Keane (Mike) and Mari Lynn Klein (Rick).

Kenneth A. Ritchie, age 62 of Elizabeth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 03, 2019. The son of the late Alan Ritchie and Wanda LoPresti, he is survived by: sisters, Judith, Yvonne, Charlene, and Karen; brothers, Jeffrey and Robert; daughters, Jessica, Kaylee, Crystal, and Danielle; grandchildren, Dylan, Tallie, and Taylen. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ken built a career as a hardworking auto mechanic and scrap worker. Though never married, he shared the best years of his life with the mother of his daughters, the late Angela Karan. Together, they were passionate about music, riding Harley Davidsons, and just enjoying the good times. Ken lived a hard life and dealt with various health issues but he never let that stand in his way. He leaves behind beautiful memories for his family and friends who will miss him dearly and remember him as fun-loving, silly, and charismatic. Ken’s body was cremated but friends and family will be received for a memorial service at the Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home in Duquesne on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Robert L. Heffner, 60, of Belle Vernon, died Dec. 4, 2019. He is the son of the late Kenneth and Evelyn Heffner. He is survived by his beloved wife Patty (Burkette) Heffner, daughter Heather Heffner; son Robert K. Heffner; grandchildren Kaylee, Maleena, Layla and Chase; brothers Allen Heffner and Ronald (Rebecca) Heffner; goddaughters Arizona and Victoria Archibeque; also nieces and nephews. Bob was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed camping, boating and the outdoors. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Sat. Dec. 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 at which time a funeral service will be held. Interment will be held Mon., Dec. 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth.

Melva "Cookie" Tranchini, age 83 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Jefferson Hospital. Born August 10, 1936 in New York, NY, she was a daughter of the late Theodore Mirkovich and Zorka (Terzich) Mirkovich Check. A member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, its Kola Sisters, and the SNF, Cookie worked as a secretary at both Fisher Scientific and the City of Clairton. She loved her Serbian culture, and loved to bake, cook, and parasail. Cookie is survived by her husband of 59 1/2 years Joseph Tranchini; her children Leslie (Johnathan) Thomas of Arlington, VA and Joseph (Carla) Tranchini of Jefferson Hills; her grandchildren Nicole (Daniel) Muhr, Bryan Wish, and Alexandra and Laura Tranchini; and also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cookie was preceded in death by her sister Nedra Drobac.
