IRENE V. HAMERSKI age 93, formerly of West Mifflin, on January 15, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Marion and Helen (Markiewicz) Klara. She was the former co-owner, along with her late husband, of the Clover Farms Store in West Mifflin. A member of Mary, Mother of God Parish in McKeesport, the former Corpus Christi Parish. Former member of St. Joseph Church in Duquesne and member of the former St. Joseph Confraternity of Christian Mother's and Guild, and the former rosary society of Christ the Light of the World Parish, former member of West Mifflin Annex Senior Citizens and the Knights of Columbus Senior Citizens. She was a member for 57 years of the Ladies of Charity, both at St. Joseph and Corpus Christi Parish. Beloved wife of the late Chester A. David J. Bedont age 69, of West Mifflin, died Tuesday December 31, 2019 in UPMC McKeesport. Born January 29, 1950 to the late Mark Sr. and Beatrice (Ardiana) Bedont, he was a roll turner at the former Mesta Machine Co. and a pharmacy tech at the V.A. Hospital in Oakland. Raymond A. Tkach age 83, of West Mifflin, on December 28 in Jefferson Hospital. Son of the late Andrew & Helen (Sotak) Tkach, he was retired from Commercial Insurance Co. as a premium auditor, was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, the White Oak Gun Club, and was a photographer. He proudly served his country in the Navy. In addition he was in the National Guard and the Reserves. He was the husband of Barbara (Johnson) Tkach and in January, they would have been married 61 years.

John L. “Jack” Holleran age 92, of West Mifflin, passed away on December 16, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Williamsport, PA, he was the son of the late Martin & Jane (Cloonan) Holleran. Beloved husband of 64 years to Marian M. (Mayer) Holleran, he was a retired Quality Control Pipe Inspector for U.S. Steel National Works and was a former security guard for Camp Hill Steel, McKeesport. Cecelia A. (Valco) Schorr age 95, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on December 10, 2019. Daughter of the late Michael & Mary E. (Dobrancin) Valco, she was a retired Department of Central Data Supervisor and, following that, worked in retail sales. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, a member of the former Christian Mothers, Past President of the GFWC Women’s Club of Duquesne, and Past President of the AARP-former Duquesne Chapter #1456. She was the wife of the late Paul G. Schorr. She is survived by her step-daughter Mary Ann (James) St. Clair of East Lake, Ohio; her niece Susan (Boyd) Anastas of West Mifflin; cousin Rona Fearon of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Andrew Valco & Joseph Valco and nephews Thomas (Joanne survives) Valco & Gene (late Kathy) Valco. Bernard A. “Ace” Curran age 93, of Duquesne, on December 3, 2019. he was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (McNally) Curran. He was a retired CORE maker from Fort Pitt Steel in Christy Park. He was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne, the former owner of the former Duquesne Taxi Cab company in the 50s. He loved to garden and enjoyed music. He and his late wife were avid fans of Duquesne High School Sports and were strong supporters of the city of Duquesne, and would attend all the council meetings.
