She was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society.

Stephen "Steve" Milas, age 90 of New Eagle and formerly of South Park, passed away on August 19, 2018 in Jefferson Hospital. Born May 26, 1928 in Broughton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Karin) Milas. He was a consultant for Prentice Hall Publishing Company and was twice recognized as an outstanding educator of America. He was a member of the American Association of Physics Teachers, American Institute of Physics, Delta Chi Social Fraternity, Chi Beta Phi, and AARP.
